2 Content & Installation Overview: Content of Documentation This Magento Installer will help you setup or migrate any system or database in a quick and easy manner. The Installer operates by automatically changing the domain settings within the database and afterwards connecting the database to the Magento system. Version 2.0 of the extension has been refined and you do not need to provide any files. The Installer will take care of everything automatically for your best comfort. Installation: 1. Unzip the.zip file of the Moving Tool you have downloaded. After unzipping, you will see the folders lib, app and skin. 2. Upload the folders to the Root of your Magento installation. You can easily upload them with a FTP program such as FileZilla ( Delete your Cache and then log in into your Magento system. You will see a F-MEDIENDESIGN tab on your Magento Admin Navigation bar. Note: If it happens so that you cannot access this section (e.g. You get an Access Denied or Not Found error message), please try to log out and then log in again. 2

3 Moving Tool 2.0 The best way to transfer, backup or duplicate your system and database Create New Installer: Settings Name: This is the name you may assign to your Installation Package. Choose Backup Type: You are given access to three different Backup Profiles. You can select whichever suits your needs best... Full System Backup: This will fully backup your system including media and database. Database Backup: This will backup only your database. You might consider this in case you want to only update your database. System Backup: This will backup only your system (without media). You might consider this in case you want to only update your system. 3

4 Moving Tool 2.0 Create New Installer: Settings Domain Details: The Domain Details is important in case you want to move your website from one server to another. This will overwrite your old domain in the database. Keep in mind that this also applies for multistores. In case you have multiple domains and you want to move only one of them, fill in the details in the field and leave the second field blank. Database Info: The Database Info is once again important if you want to move your website from one server to another. It is also of crucial importance when you wish to update your database. Please fill the field with the respective information in order to move your website. Installer: Usage After you have filled in all the required information, you can click on Generate Installer Script. The script will then create your Installer Files. Keep in mind that you can find all the necessary files in the Manage Installers section. 1. After you have downloaded the files Installer Script, System Backup and Database Backup, you can upload them to the Root of your new Installation Webspace (FTP). 2. After you have uploaded the respective files, you can check your Installer Script with a web browser of your preference. To start the installer, just point to note: Replace with your own domain. 4
