He is being recommended for a new position, Coordinator International Programs and Services, with a recommended salary of $44,145. With the increase, the new salary for this position is within the salary range of grade J ($35,148 $52, 967) and will place him at the 50.5 percentile of the range. Offering this salary allows the College to remain consistent with our processes, ensure internal equity, and offer competitive market pricing in the Charlotte metro area for this position. In his current role as an Academic Advisor, he is responsible for providing counseling to new and prospective students, evaluating test scores to determine program eligibility and facilitating training for faculty on database initiatives/improvements for advising. In his new role, he will have increased responsibilities: He will coordinate with Immigration and Naturalization Services and work closely with international consulate offices to ensure timely release of student educational funds. Mr. Hypes will also be required to stay abreast of policy changes with INS, FERPA and NC Residency to ensure both CPCC and international students are compliant. Finally, as the point person for international students, the administrative volume of work required for this position will increase substantially.

2 CPCC Erin Corbera $37,740 $43,510 $5, % 4/1/2014 Ms. Corbera is currently a Student Recruiter and her position resides in our salary grade of J. In her current position, she is responsible for: Contacting and meeting high school counselors and teachers to explain benefits of the program. Participating in classroom visitation and other events to explain programs to potential students Providing information regarding admissions requirements and program benefits to prospective students and parents via phone, mail and personal visits; follows up with mail or phone call. Assisting new students with the enrollment process and career options. Producing follow up reports regarding activities and future plans. She has applied and been selected for the position of Campus Registrar. The Campus Registrar's level of responsibility is significantly higher than that of Student Recruiter. As Campus Registrar, Ms. Corbera will be responsible for: Supervising all admissions registrations and student records activities for our Harris Campus. Assisting with budget planning by monitoring forecasting, and recommending expenditures. Overseeing procedural requirements necessary for compliance with state and federal laws affecting admissions, records and registration. Assessing operations, gathering data, and reporting findings to the Harris Campus Dean and the College s Associate Dean for Admission and Registration. Developing and oversees systems for on-site record maintenance, papers, and electronic files to ensure accuracy, security, and availability. Ms. Corbera meets the minimum qualifications and experience posted for the Campus Registrar position. The Campus Registrar position is on our salary grade of L and the entry level of grade L is $43, By offering Ms. Corbera the entry level of the new grade for the Campus Registrar position, we are consistent with our processes and ensure Ms. Corbera is being treated equitably.

3 CPCC James Fisher-Davis $55,851 $69,000 $13, % 4/1/2014 James Fischer-Davis is currently a full time Instructor, salaried at $57, and residing in our salary grade of MA. His current salary reflects a 2.5% non-state fund increase to his June 30, 2013 salary. He is being recommended for a new position of Associate Dean Merancas Campus, with a recommended salary of $69, which is the mid range salary of his new grade of N. In his current role, he is an Instructor in the College's Criminal Justice Program. In his new role, he will assist the Dean of the Merancas Campus in the administration of the instructional programs and a wide variety of tasks to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the campus. Additionally, he will assist with enhancing student success. He will provide leadership in directing the flow and support to all students, faculty, and staff to ensure operational procedures are being followed. Forsyth Tech CC Kenya Maria Cheeks $14 hr. $16 hr. $3 hr. 18.5% 4/1/2014 Kenya has been a part-time employee with the college since Her hourly rate on June 30, 2013 is $13.50/hr. The job she applied, interviewed, and was selected for was Financial Aid Technician (full-time paraprofessional level position). The annual salary for this full-time position is $33,288, which equates to $16.00/hr. Forsyth Tech CC Tina L. Rhodes $15 hr. $16 hr. $2 hr. 12.2% 4/1/2014 Tina has been a part-time employee with the college since Her hourly rate on June 30, 2013 is $14.65/hr. The job she applied, interviewed, and was selected for was Help Desk Support Specialist (full-time paraprofessional level position). The annual salary for this full-time position is $34,200, which equates to $16.44/hr. Jamie Doom $9 hr. $13 hr. $5 hr. 52.9% 4/1/2014 Employee was working as a Temporary Bookstore Cashier as of 6/30/2013 at $8.50 an hour. Jamie started in payroll effective 8/1/2013 as a Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk at $13.00 an hour. Reassignment to status of Time-Limited Accounts Payable Clerk is requested. This will result in salary increase and assumption of increased job duties/responsibilities to include: reviewing and verifying all vendor statements, ensuring proper use of refund credit balances, assisting with fiscal year closing by resolving outstanding requisitions and purchase orders, assisting with year-end close out process with Purchasing and Receiving departments, coordinating process of change request and assisting in monitoring 1099 vendor file and TAP process.

This will result in increased salary and assumption of increased job duties/responsibilities: reconciling documentation of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving records, investigating and resolving discrepancies on invoice statements for vendors, ensuring proper use of refund and credit balances, assisting with vendor contracts to obtain missing invoices and purchase orders and handling vendor inquiries regarding payment status. Kay Edwards $35,360 $40,600 $5, % 4/1/2014 Reassignment from Temporary Business Office Technician to Time-Limited Senior Accounting Technician. This will result in increased salary and assumption of increased job duties/responsibilities: managing cash balances, including cash in bank and the college s short-term investment fund, ensuring sufficient operating cash, analyzing expenditures from institutional funds for compliance with governmental rules and regulations, conformity to accepted accounting principles, established college policies/procedures, grant or contract requirements, and proper account code classification, coordinating the processing and vouchering of all payments not running through the purchase order system. Julie Denil $29,871 $35,007 $5, % 4/1/2014 Promotion from Regular status Disbursement Clerk to Senior Accounts Payable Technician. Employee will be assuming increased job duties/responsibilities: monitoring all unpaid checks and escheat as required by law, coordinating reconciliation of p-card statements; review and approve journal entries for accuracy and completeness, authorizing release of checks after verifying the availability of funds and in the case of state checks, monitoring cash balances at all times and voucher clearing accounts as needed, balancing travel advance accounts monthly, preparing student refunds, financial aid and scholarship disbursements in coordination with Institutional Funds Technician and the Financial Aid Office and coordinate necessary replacement checks.

Additional senior-level duties include the responsibility for the RCCC Foundation and College Relations. The change in duties and responsibilities is significat, including asset oversight for the Foundation, college relationship management with media; accountability for print and electronic media for the college. This restructuring is occuring due to the retirement of the VP of Advancement and Continuing Education. Ms. Howell will take over a number of the responsibilities as well as retain her current responsibilities and there is a search for a VP of Continuing Education. This restructure will save the college money overall. Wake Tech Angela Spivey $29,808 $39,660 $9, % 4/1/2014 Promotion. Mrs. Spivey, has assumed higher level duties as a result of college growth and business need. Mrs. Spivey is solely responsible of the implementation of our Online Leave process and has taken on the role of HR Power User for Informer reporting. She is responsible for HR reporting and analysis to help with departmental process improvement. She now performs at the level of an HR Analyst II, which includes overseeing the creation of positions, assigning position codes, calculating salaries, creating tenders of employment for all full-time positions and status changes, ensuring employees are placed in the correct department/division in colleague for reporting and approvals. She manages full-time and part-time temporary requests, and assist the Director of Benefits and Compensation where needed.
