Watson Supply Chain Manager: For lots of companies, the logistics chain is still a black hole. Because of that, they can only respond to deviations from schedule at a late stage. And that kind of last minute work always costs money. Robin Smith, Director BAP Logistics: 20 % of containers have arrived in Felixstowe on a different vessel to the one originally planned and advised. Need to achieve a method to detect deviations and inform the transport operator as early as possible 6
