3 School Improvement Strategic Plan The purpose of this Title I Schoolwide improvement Plan is to improve student learning within Clayton County Public School District, which is consistent with the district s mission
4 What is Title 1 The purpose of Title I is to help children have the opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach proficiency on challenging state and academic standards and assessments.
5 School Designation Status Forest Park High School has been designated as a Reward School based on our performance this past school year! Reward Status High Progress!!! What does it mean to be a "High-Progress School? It means that we are amongst 10% of Title I schools in the State that is making the most progress in improving the performance of the "all students" group over three years on the statewide assessments. A school may not be classified as a High- Progress School if there are significant achievement gaps across subgroups that are not closing in the school.
6 Title I Funds Title I provide funds to help supplement educational opportunities for children who live in high poverty areas who are most at risk of failing to meet state s challenging achievement standards.
7 How are Title I funds spent? Supplies Equipment Remediation/Tutorial (Support programs) Parental Involvement (1% Parent Involvement Budget) Etc.
8 District & School Parent Involvement policies (Laws pertaining to Parental Involvement) District s parental involvement policy All Schools in the district will score in the 90 th percentile or above as measured by the College and Career Readiness Performance Index. Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI) A comprehensive report card for all schools. School s parent involvement policy. Is designed to involve all parents in a regular two-way meaningful communication to improve students 'academic achievement.
9 Parent Policy At FPHS: Parents are invited to attend our Annual Title I Meeting Parents are aware that we are a Family Friendly School Parents are invited visit the school Parents are provided with information about the school Parents serve on the School Council/PTSA/Parent Leadership Team Parents are invited to use the Parent Resource Center
10 School Compact School Mission: The mission of CCPS is to be accountable for providing a globally competitive education that empowers student to achieve academic and personal goals and to become productive, responsible citizens. This goal is accomplished through the collaborative efforts of our parents, students, teachers, and administrators, and support staff.
