PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY Ten years experience at the university level coordinating institutional effectiveness for the entire university (more than 240 assessment programs and departments) and teaching graduate level statistics in the School ofeducation and developmental and upper division mathematics in the College of Liberal Arts. Implemented workshops for instructional programs and administrative and educational support units to continually update faculty and staff with current assessment techniques and accreditation requirements. Implemented workshops for University Assessment Committee to increase inter-reader reliability and enhance critiques ofassessment records by peer assessment committee. Supervised development of website used by University Assessment Committee to critique assessment records. Organized and coordinated implementation ofthe National Survey ofstudent Engagement (NSSE) for University freshmen and seniors. Consulted with numerous department chairs and department faculty regarding assessment and use of results to improve programs. Consulted more than twenty-five two- and four-year colleges regarding assessment implementation and sustainability. Presented at numerous assessment conferences on topics related to Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment. Published a chapter on assessment issues in graduate and professional programs.

Reviewed numerous textbook manuscripts. Co-authored several mathematics textbooks. Served as Mathematics Coordinator for Title III, Computer-Assisted Delivery System for grant period. Directed two Eisenhower Grants for high school algebra teachers. Scripted and performed in more than 200 instructional video tapes for developmental mathematics. Developed computerinteractive software for computer course. Served as counselor and performed various administrative duties 1978 through 1980 Summer Career Awareness Programs under CETA Foundation, Summer Youth Employment Program. Developed and taught mathematics training programs at industrial sites. Developed and taught curriculum for blueprint reading and drafting course. Developed writing-intensive curricula for freshman orientation course. Consulted with and developed curricula for area businesses including Dobbs, International; E. 1. Dupont; Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc.; and U. S. Navy. Made numerous presentations for adjunct faculty, department faculty, and students at Southwest Tennessee Community College (formerly State Technical Institute at Memphis). Mentored full-time and adjunct faculty in developmental mathematics program. Participated in the Kellogg Institute for Developmental Educators, a month-long institute sponsored in part by Appalachian State University, Boone, NC, and was awarded certification as a developmental educator. Developed curricula for Landscape/Horticulture joint Bachelor's degree program with University ofmemphis and Southwest Tennessee Community College (formerly State Technical Institute at Memphis), developed articulation agreements with area colleges, developed and coordinated new program curriculum proposals for Fire Science, Opticianry, and Geographic Information Systems. Coordinated reorganization of Information Technology major which consolidated four existing majors into one major with concentrations. Organized and implemented annual fall faculty development program. Supervised five departments with more than 15 full and part-time employees. Coordinated activities of division and college curriculum committees. Nine years experience teaching at the secondary level. Taught mathematics at both the middle and high school level. Served on textbook selection committee, co-authored curriculum guides for Business Mathematics and Consumer Mathematics.
