2 ALANYA S BACKGROUND Alanya Gazipasa International Airport (GZP) is the secondary airport of the city of Antalya, which welcomed more than 11 million visitors in About 25% of Antalya s visitors have actually vacationed in Alanya, 135 kms to the east of the city center of Antalya. Due to the remote location of the existing Antalya Airport to major touristic centers in Alanya, the development and operation of the new Alanya Gazipasa International Airport became inevitable. The airport serves commercial flights since 2010 and has become a major gateway to the region since then. 4 ALANYA IS A POPULAR HOLIDAY DESTINATION Antalya region offers a great destination in the Mediterranean for holidaymaking Europeans and Russians with year round sunshine, excellent hotels and beaches, local culture and genuine hospitality, with a short flight time from Eastern Europe & CIS countries. Antalya region is especially popular among Russians and Germans. Alanya area on the other hand, is more popular among European and Scandinavian holidaymakers. Alanya became a significant destination for foreigners to purchase real estate after the provisional elimination of restrictions on land purchases by non-nationals. Over 23 thousand homes in Alanya are owned by non-nationals and over 15 thousand foreigners reside in the town on a full year basis. The urban population of Alanya is about 100 thousand. 7 Alanya is one of the most visited tourist regions of Turkey, hosting 2.6 million visitors each year. 25% of the total bed capacity of Antalya is in Alanya, where visitors from mostly European and Scandinavian countries are accommodated at its well-known 5 star hotels and holiday resorts. 12 GZP IS A RAPIDLY GROWING AIRPORT Alanya Gazipasa Airport (GZP) welcomed 360,000 passengers in 2013 where it had served 84 thousand the year before. Thomas Cook Scandinavia, Small Planet, SAS, Transavia, Tailwind, Corendon Airlines, Jettime and Sunexpress operated to GZP from numerous European destinations. In addition, Pegasus Airlines and Anadolujet connect GZP to Istanbul (SAW) and Ankara (ESB) respectively with frequent domestic flights. The route network of GZP will expand further in 2014 with the addition of new airline companies expected to operate to GZP such as Finnair and TUI Nordic Fly. With the infrastructural enhancements at the airport, a wider range of aircraft including A320s and B s are now capable to operate GZP flights.

14 GZP IS A NEW AND EFFICIENT AIRPORT Do not expect any delays at Alanya s new Gazipasa (GZP) Airport. You may enjoy the smooth operations at a totally new airport, equipped with the latest technology. We can proudly speak of a 30 minute turnaround time for a typical A-320. In 2011, the runway was extended to 2,000 m and the apron area was expanded. Another capacity enhancement project is currently taking place in GZP, which consists of 3 additional aircraft parking space, terminal area increase, runway extension to 2,500 m and a new taxi route which will enable a more efficient use of the runway. The construction work will be completed within 2014 and the capacity of GZP will be tripled.
