5 1.3 Opertio There re three sets of eligiility riteri withi the doumet: Herig Impirmet (pp 1-17) Visio Impirmet (pp 1-) Multi-Sesory Impirmet (pp 3-9) Arevitios, defiitios of terms d the lssifitio of sesory loss used withi the NtSIP Eligiility Criteri re provided i the Glossry (see 1.). Applyig the NtSIP Eligiility Criteri To pply the NtSIP Eligiility Criteri, SI speilist tehers should follow the steps elow: Step 1: Selet the pproprite set of eligiility riteri (i.e. HI, VI or MSI) ordig to the s type of sesory impirmet. For ese of use, eh set of eligiility riteri hs ee opied oto seprte form whih e dowloded from the elosed CD (or the NtSIP wesite: Step : Eter the s detils o the pproprite dowloded NtSIP Eligiility Criteri form. Whilst there is o evidee se to support the doptio of prtiulr mtrix s eig oe whih will e the more effetive i promotig good pupil progress d the hievemet of good outomes, it is perhps worth otig tht pproximtely 5% of the servies surveyed sed their support llotio o Exmple, though ot ll fully mthed their levels of support to those speified.
