3 International Programme in Addiction Studies (IPAS) Collaboration between: Virginia Commonwealth University King s College London University of Adelaide Launched in 2008 with faculty from: Pharmacology, psychology, public health, addiction science Leads to M.S. in Addiction Studies

8 Summer 2014: Needs Assessment ~90% accessing resources through VCU journals and databases tied for most used resources Still, students wanted more help using print and electronic books, databases, and journals 46% said they would feel somewhat confident finding academic literature , telephone, and video tutorials were the preffered methods of delivery

10 Fall / Winter : Curriculum Mapping Examples of library-related assignments: Biological Basis of Addiction - essay to demonstrate skills in searching, appraising informaiton, [and] analyzing the information. Addiction Policy - position paper on a recent piece of international legislation providing evidence in support of position Psychosocial Interventions essay on intervention [demonstraiting ability] to carry out a scientific literature review. Research Methods research project protocol planning assignment including a literature search that demonstrate understanding and ability to use index terms, truncation and wildcards, boolean operators, and limits
