State NMVTIS reporting (Nexus even prints your state s reporting forms and fills in all vehicle information. You just need to sign it and mail it!) Automatic Vehicle Identification When entering vehicles into the NMVTIS entry portion of the software, simply typing a VIN number will automatically tell you everything about the vehicle, cutting down on data entry time by 30%! California CRV is fully implemented and compliant in Nexus. California recyclers can use our system to identify, purchase, pay, receipt, track, ship, inventory and report CRV materials. Nexus automatically generates all the proper reports and log sheets, and can build and print a DR6 form instantly! Trash and construction debris/solid waste collection is implemented in Nexus to allow recyclers who collect trash from commercial and residential customers to identify, photograph, log and maintain transactions and payments. Nexus supports up to four cameras per computer, and allows you to set actions to each camera (for instance, take a picture with camera 1 when a driver weighs full, or record a video from camera 3 when an employee pays a scale ticket in cash, etc.) Full scale integration with any scale. 6 Real-World Application Process & Work Flow: A paperless transaction. The process above explains in detail and simplicity how easy and fool-proof the proven Nexus system is. The software eliminates the need for paper tickets being carried by customers, which prevents tampering and/or fraudulent receipts. Nexus can work wirelessly between systems and all data is instantly available from any system at the scrap yard or facility.

8 Application Screenshots: This is the touch-screen program, Nexus TSi displaying the manual weight entry keypad during ticket creation as well as being connected to the inbound (gross) scale. Weights are populated automatically by the scale (if connected), but users may also override the weights and manually make adjustments and weight entries (with permission). Tickets can be created, edited and deleted from any terminal. The touch screen software is built on the same platform as the office software, so drivers licenses, fingerprints, signatures and payments can be made from touch screens. In most cases, a customer can walk directly up to a touch screen, hand their license to the operator, and it is then swiped at the terminal. During that swipe, Nexus checks to see if the customer already exists in the system. If the customer exists, they are pulled up on screen, along with any open tickets they have. A picture of the customer appears in the upper left hand of the screen next to their name. Their most recent drivers license, signature, and fingerprint will show at the bottom of the screen, guaranteeing identification of the customer. If the customer does not exist in the system, their information is instantly populated with that swipe, and the customer s account is established, eliminating manual entry. One of Nexus most unique features, is that it shows a material identification window during ticket creation, that shows the user a sample image of the material they have selected, as well as a description of how to identify the material. This aids scale personnel in learning the materials and prevents them from making costly mistakes.

10 Application Screenshots: Material & Vehicle Pictures You can set each camera in your company to take a picture or record a video when a specific action occurs from within Nexus. For instance, when someone weighs full or empty, the system can take a picture of the scale. When someone is out in the yard, the system can record a video of them unloading the materials. When a scale ticket is paid by cash, record video of the employee handling the cash, or take a picture of the customer. This advanced camera system allows you to keep a close watch on the happenings of your organization. Nexus user security restrictions allow you to hide the camera images and video from your scale house personnel, so they will not be able to manipulate the camera system (e.g., move cameras out of the scope of view in order to skim the cash drawer) and also in the event that hidden cameras are present.

11 Application Screenshots: Automatic Background Checks Nexus is the only scrap metal program which features automatic customer background checks. When a customer comes in and they are pulled up within the system, Nexus will automatically launch a background check on the customer behind the scenes. A discrete icon will appear, tapping (or clicking) on the icon will display the window as shown above alerting the operator that the customer has been previously arrested as well as listing what the customer has been arrested for. The software will notify the operator whether there is a possible match or a positive identification of that customer, and provide further details as to the background of the customer. This is especially helpful for states in which it is illegal to purchase scrap metal from someone who has been convicted of scrap metal theft. Customers can instantly be placed on your companies own personal donot-buy list as well. Best of all, this helpful feature is absolutely free for Nexus customers.

12 Application Screenshots: Drivers License Swiper Nexus has drivers license swiper technology which reads the magnetic strip on the back of licenses. When a customer comes across a scale, or the payment window, simply swiping their ID will locate that customer in the system automatically, retrieve any open scale tickets that need to be paid, or even create the customer in the system if not present, automatically filling in name, address, city, state, zip, DOB, license number, even physical descriptions of the customer. If the customer does not have their ID, credit cards and ATM cards may be used in place as a second form of ID. They will still work the exact same way, locating the customer within the system.

The fingerprints Nexus produces attach themselves to a scale ticket and the customer for easy access in the event law enforcement requests them. The fingerprint scanner offers your company an extra layer of security and may deter most peddlers from bringing in stolen or illegitimately obtained materials to your recycling center. In addition to fingerprints, Nexus captures live signatures, camera images and video, and drivers licenses.
