2 Hotel interface for Panasonic PBX systems MANAGES internal and guest communication. Mingus Software, a company specializing in software for the hotel industry, has developed a standardized interface to connect Panasonic PBX systems with Hotel Management Software (PMS) with all the functionalities hotels require. KX Hotel works with every PMS that are compatible with either the Mitel (SX200, 2000, 3300) or the Meridian SL1 (option 11c, PMSi2 or PMSi3) phone interface. The PMS supplier (hotel software) must provide his interface with either TCP/IP or Serial connection. Mingus Software is a certified Silver CTI Panasonic partner, and provides support and assistance for KX Hotel software installation. 1
3 PBX FUNCTIONALITIES KX Hotel supports the following PBX functionalities: Handle check-in and check-out using the guest s name Chargeable calls can be unrestricted, partly restricted or fully restricted at check-in and check-out Program wakeup call with the PMS or by the reception phone Manage up to nine rooms cleaning codes CENTRALIZES hotel communications. Reset voic password at check-out Turn the message lamp indicator on and off Erase messages at check-out Activate the voic at check-in The functionalities mentioned above depend on those supported by the various PMSs with their interface protocol; verify with your PMS provider to confirm which commands are compatible. OTHER PBX KX HOTEL OPTIONS AND FUNCTIONALITIES: Doorphones for access outside business hours or for security Speed-dial numbers for guest services System programming for guest KX-T7710 phones Cordless phones for instant communication with hotel staff Direct-to-operator calls for rapid access Pre-recorded wakeup calls Call centre functions for reservations or guest services 2
4 Optional module for call billing In today s hospitality industry, where customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance, it s essential to ensure that communication resources are effective and easy to use. Hotel supervisors need tools to bill guests for phone use while monitoring staff communication. The call billing software is specially designed to manage in-house calls and create multiple management reports. OPTIMIZES operations management. This call billing module controls costs, maximizes profits, and simplifies communication tools management, enabling businesses to measure phone use accurately. Reports can be printed in chart or text form, saved to a disk, sent to other programs, or ed. The software is installed, configured, and delivered with initial training and technical support. FLEXIBILITY The call billing module gathers phone activity reports and sends them to the property management system or printer in real time. It is entirely compatible with local networks, and can function on a server or a workstation, providing full access to files and reports while remaining accessible on the screen. 3
5 COST AND REVENUE MANAGEMENT Allows administrators to produce detailed reports in order to calculate phone costs and revenue for a given period using criteria such as call type, room type, and guest profile. Parameters such as markup percentage, minimal and maximal profit, fixed charges, and surtaxes are used to create a simple profit margin based on a single type of call. Combining types of calls, multiple profit margins, and digital data processing adds another dimension to the billing options. SIMPLIFIES call billing. The phone fee application can be tailored to the hotel s needs and offers flexibility when producing billing profiles specific to the type of guest, call, room, connection, and more. INSTALLATION The call billing module supports Windows platforms and offers a user-friendly graphic interface. Installation of the call billing software is fast and easy, and requires no daily maintenance. It s simple and can handle large amounts of call data produced by different phone systems in various locations. 4
