1 Managing IBM Lotus Notes Domino 7 Servers and Users Course Code: Course Title: Managing IBM Lotus Notes Domino 7 Servers and Users Duration: 3 classroom equivalent days Price: 990 USD + IVA Course Description This course covers managing the servers and users in an existing IBM Lotus Domino 7 and IBM Lotus Notes 7 infrastructure. In this course, you will perform standard server maintenance and troubleshooting tasks as well as register and maintain Notes and non-notes users. This three-day course is instructor-led, classroom training where the instructor presents course materials to a group of students in a classroom. The course materials provide extensive background information, procedural tables, and best practice tips. Audience The target audience for this course is system administrators new to Domino who are responsible for monitoring and maintaining an existing Lotus Domino 7 infrastructure, and managing Lotus Notes and non-notes users in a Domino domain. Course Prerequisites The prerequisites for this course include completion of the following IBM Lotus Domino 7 courses or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience. IBM Lotus Domino 7 System Administration Operating Fundamentals is required. Building the IBM Lotus Domino 7 Infrastructure is recommended. Machine Requirements Hardware Instructor and Student Server Hardware Requirements The following list identifies the hardware requirements for the instructor and student server machines. At least 512 MB of RAM, 1 GB is recommended.
2 A Pentium Class processor or higher and compatibles, Pentium 4, 2.6 GHz processor is recommended. An SVGA (or better) video card and monitor. Support for 256 colors, 800 x 600 resolution. At least 2 GB free hard disk space per partition, 40 GB is recommended. A mouse or other pointing device. A CD-ROM drive or access to network file server for installation. Internet access (recommended). Software Instructor and Student Client Software Requirements The following list identifies the software requirements for the instructor machine and 12 student machines. Please note that proper licensing for all software is required and is the responsibility of the training organization. Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4 or Microsoft Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1 (Service pack 2 is not required but recommended). Lotus Domino Administrator 7. Netscape Navigator 4.7 or above or Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or above. TCP/IP using either Hosts file or DNS with server and domain names defined in the TCP/IP protocol configuration. Microsoft Powerpoint Viewer (instructor only).
