By abstracting management complexities, HID delivers intuitive graphical user interfaces and recommended configuration workflows to reduce the required number of steps to properly configure and optimize storage infrastructure resources. Provides administrative and multitenancy security; enables administrative partitioning of resources for Virtual Storage Platform G1000 and ; supports local authentication on the storage system; or it can be integrated into corporate directory services and security systems using standard management interfaces, such as Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP and RADIUS. As part of the Storage Viewer family of heterogeneous reporting products, Storage Viewer for File Analytics enables the proper control and management of unstructured data growth. This Storage Viewer product provides discovery of files residing on NAS server farms with agentless data collection, and properly scales to analyze billions of data objects. It also includes a purpose-built database that offers extremely fast data collection compared to competing offerings. As part of the Storage Viewer family of heterogeneous reporting products, Storage Viewer for SAN Fabrics provides visualization of logical SAN topologies, monitors SAN fabric performance and alarms, and incorporates SAN change management capabilities; recommended for use with Storage Viewer for Capacity. Provides comprehensive performance and capacity analysis for storage systems and facilitates application storage performance monitoring and optimization. Tuning Manager is integrated under the Analytics tab within the Command Suite main console and it also includes a separate reporting console. This software supports performance monitoring, reporting, correlation and troubleshooting from the application and host through SAN switches to the virtual storage machines and logical storage devices. It includes performance monitoring, health checks and alarms for physical or logical storage devices and virtual storage machines in addition to a REST-based API for integration with other management reporting applications. As part of the Storage Viewer family of heterogeneous reporting products, Storage Viewer for Virtual Servers provides end-to-end storage capacity reporting from VMware virtual servers and machines to heterogeneous storage systems; recommended for use with Storage Viewer for Capacity. This unified approach results in an easy, automated and low-cost data management solution, which can be employed in a fraction of the time, effort and money required by separate point products. The following HDPS modules are available to be licensed standalone: IntelliSnap provides application-consistent snapshot and clone creation, leveraging Thin Image and in-system ShadowImage Replication technologies. protection and archiving. Once a FlashCopy SE source-target volume relationship is established, HCFCSE enables thinprovisioned storage capacity that is allocated and utilized only when a change has occurred within the source volume. As backup copies are made to the target volume, storage resources are consumed only on an as-needed basis, depending on the amount of changed data. Provides IBM compatible extended (asynchronous) remote copy data protection for environments employing mainframe and enterprise storage technology. A business-defined copy data management solution, Data Instance Director provides a modern, holistic approach to data protection, recovery and retention. HDID combines backup, continuous data protection (CDP), storage-based snapshot, clone and replication management and archiving on a single, integrated architecture. It helps to reduce costs and improve resiliency. There is no need to reconfigure or make radical changes to existing policies or procedures. Integrated replication technology delivers enterprise-class disaster recovery capabilities while reducing disk and network bandwidth requirements by more than 95%. This software tool provides point-in-time data snapshots for all storage systems and it is a component of Local Replication software bundles. Local Replication delivers convenient and cost-effective full volume data cloning for fast, point-in-time data copies. Offering includes full copies of ShadowImage Replication and Thin Image snapshot software solutions. Combine with remote replication software to create alternate copies of production data for test and development and disaster recovery at a remote site. Combines TrueCopy and Universal Replicator (HUR) solutions to enable remote data protection at up to four data centers. With TrueCopy, achieve synchronous immediate replication, at a recovery point objective (RPO) of 0/near-0, from a primary data center to a second data center up to 300km away. Universal Replicator with advanced remote data replication functions, such as 3 data center configuration capabilities for open systems and IBM z/os mainframes. Deployed implementations can be configured with or without delta resync, which ensures replication consistency for the highest level of remote copy data integrity at any distance. Manages storage tier definitions and policies while directing transparent migration of data volumes between those storage tiers. It enables administrators to proactively match business application price, performance and availability characteristics to storage resource attributes. Through the establishment of custom data management policies, it helps to properly monitor and control the automated behavior of Dynamic Tiering. Product functionality is delivered within the main console of Command Suite under the Mobility tab. File Services: Network Attached Storage Platform These systems provide enterprise-class NAS performance and scalability to the Virtual Storage Platform family. They help accelerate file and content data storage in dense, virtualized server environments, amplified by flash. The 4000 series supports up to 8-node clustering, 32PB of usable capacity, smart primary deduplication, intelligent file tiering, a single namespace, large 256TB volumes, file and directory clones and SMB 3.0. These systems are integrated with the Content Platform for excellent storage economics, as well as with the Command Suite management products. Primary data deduplication provides a management-free, hardware-accelerated architecture, which smartly throttles back during busy file sharing workloads. Supports VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) with automatic failover disaster recovery efficiencies for large virtual machine deployments via enhanced flexibility and granularity of replication policies. Delivers improved data protection, recovery and management efficiencies via granular restore, fast space-efficient backup copies and clones; is integrated with the VMware vcenter management interface. Leveraging NAS virtualization and policy-driven, data migration capabilities, this feature simplifies and automates migration from one or more third-party filers to NAS Platform with minimal downtime and without interfering with file-sharing workloads. Enables high-speed replication of files and objects from NAS Platform to NAS Platform in remote locations, asynchronously; replicates only deltas after the first copy. Choose from several available replication format types (for example, incremental block, file or object). A metro-cluster-like service providing disaster recovery capability over WAN between two NAS Platform clusters using synchronous communications. 11 G1000 Content Platform ( File Services: Object Store An object storage platform, HCP provides up to 80PB of usable capacity that can be divided into thousands of virtual object storage systems, each configured to serve a particular workload. HCP includes advanced data and storage management capabilities, including robust data protection and preservation technologies that eliminate the need for tape backups. Replication, advanced RAID technologies and nondisruptive upgrades of hardware and software make it highly reliable and ready for both enterprise IT and cloud service providers. In addition, HCP combines compression, single instancing, version control and automated disposal capabilities for data, with spin-down disk, high object density, small physical footprint and backup-free attributes for storage. HCP integrates with NAS Platform, Data Ingestor and Content Platform Anywhere. (9) Open Server Content Platform Anywhere (HCP Anywhere) Safe, secure file synchronization and sharing as well as mobile access to NAS data for enterprise IT environments. An option for Content Platform, HCP Anywhere enables users to access their data anywhere, at any time, on any device, and share data in a safe, secure way with coworkers and collaborators outside of the organization. HCP Anywhere is also the management and provisioning tool for remote server configurations of Data Ingestor. Open Server File Services: Cloud/Edge-to-Core Data Ingestor (HDI) and HDI Remote Server Serves as a bottomless and backup-free cloud on-ramp; delivers files services to the edge (remote office and back office or ROBO) while greatly reducing cost and complexity there; simplifies cloud deployment; works with Content Platform to deliver an integrated edge-to-core storage solution for distributed IT and cloud environments. HDI is available in cluster, single-node and virtual machine configuration that work directly with HCP, as well as a remote server configuration that works with HCP via HCP Anywhere as the provisioning and management tool.
