Study Description: Cognitive, emotional, and behavioral difficulties are common among traumatic brain injury survivors and influence life satisfaction. This study investigated cognitive and psychological flexibility and used self-report measures and overt behavioral tests of cognitive flexibility conceptualized as mindfulness skills in action to shed light on relationships to life satisfaction. Specific facets of mindfulness and associations with life satisfaction were explored. The utility of mindfulness-based interventions for adult traumatic brain injury survivors were discussed. Study Description: The purpose of this study was to examine relationships among trust, self-disclosure, and self-monitoring in best friend relationships. As predicted, self-disclosure was positively correlated with trust. Individuals in the high disclosure group also reported higher levels of trust, satisfaction with and commitment to their relationships as compared to those in the low disclosure group. Contrary to predictions, there was no correlation between relationship duration and trust; self-monitoring and trust; or self-monitoring and self-disclosure.
