13 SAN / NAS Setup Esync Load Balancing From V9.0 onwards you can use a SAN or NAS as your storage for assets, this will eliminate any delay in both server getting updated and will result in you not having to store your assets on each server. If you require more than 4 servers load balanced this setup is recommend.

14 Package Sync In Previous versions if you wanted to sync a taxonomy, a menu and a content item together this would have had to be a full content sync. From V8.6.1 you can now create package to sync.

15 Esync Queuing From Version 9 you can enable esync queuing, currently if you start an esync while another esync is running it will inform you that one is already running. <add key="enablesyncqueue" value="false" /> By enabling this to true in the EWS and your web.config on each server, if you start an esync while another esync is running it will be queued. Queued Esyncs can be viewed in the workarea.

16 Avoiding the Initial Sync Use these procedures if you have a large database or number of assets and want to minimize the time required to complete an initial sync. In both cases, you use a tool other than esync to complete the initial copy. From then on, use esync to maintain the ongoing transfer of data among servers in a sync relationship. Avoiding Initial Database Sync ESYNC Backup and Restore If your CMS has a very large database, you may want to reduce the time required to initially sync it. Follow this procedure to quickly copy a database between servers.

17 Esync API Strategies In version 9 you are now able to create Esync Strategies. These strategies let you plug into the EWS, so that functionality like sync notifications, data modifications and cache invalidation can be implemented by developers
