1 Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Board Action/Information Summary Action Information MEAD Number: Resolution: Yes No TITLE: Rail Service Adjustments for State of Good Repair PURPOSE: To inform the Customer Service and Operations Committee of 2012 service adjustments in support of achieving a state of good repair. DESCRIPTION: The quarterly update on scheduled service adjustments that support Metro s goal to improve service reliability by maximizing rider satisfaction though convenient, comfortable services and facilities that are in a good condition and easy to navigate. To accomplish the ambitious goals of bringing our infrastructure to a state of good repair, a very aggressive program of work on weekends and night is being implemented. To minimize inconvenience and maximize efficiencies, work is being accelerated and performed around the clock. FUNDING IMPACT: All projects are funded in the FY12 approved Capital Program. RECOMMENDATION: None
