1 The table below shows accepted external trainings which will automatically offer entry into Relate Please note if you are applying to work as a relationship counsellor and you have completed one of the courses below you will automatically be qualified to work with Relate as a relationship counsellor. If you have not completed one of the courses on the list you will have to have completed a Relationship counselling course that is validated to level 5 or above. 5 Relate requirements for other relationship focused courses which may be presented at APEL: If you are to work as a relationship counsellor a minimum of hours will be expected to have been spent on theoretical concepts as well as skills and self-awareness and reflexivity.
