1 AWS (Amazon Web Services) Managed Services A New World constant change needs Agility T h e world is changing fast and IT infrastructure has become in creasingly complex. Enterprises are keen to adopt the transformation into Cloud Computing Computing and storage capacity as a service. The Clound is the answer to the challenge; increased efficiency, better control, optimized cost and enhanced scalability, performance and flexibility.
2 AWS (Amazon Web Services) Managed Services NZ Technologies provides managed AWS. AWS managed services are an integral part of a hybrid cloud solution that takes advantage of Amazon s unique platform capabilities, scale and global presence. At NZ Technologies we enable the industry standard ITIL V3 based best practices and processes to our 24 X 7 service delivery centre through the specialist knowledge of AWS platform, infrastructure and design. NZ Technologies AWS Managed Services include: Managed Monitoring Service a full monitoring service with component fault and performance monitoring, using a variety of tools and techniques Managed Support Incident, Problem and change Management using ITIL v3 processes and best practices Proactive Maintenance with capacity planning and routine cost optimization Security Management NZT Cloud Security Framework [NZTCF] is a collection of processes and techniques that ensure and enables the security management of infrastructure and applications on the Cloud. Our managed services provide vulnerability reviews of the Cloud infrastructure and applications to proactively highlight and suggest and implement mitigation solutions.
3 How we do it? NZT Service Strategy includes the provision of an AWS managed service that covers the capabilities of AWS, including EC2, S3, auto- scaling and RDS. Our Managed Monitoring framework for AWS provides monitoring for AWS cloud resources and the applications customers run on AWS. A Dedicated team monitors the AWS infrastructure and application using a variety of tools, including Amazon Cloud Watch Skilled and experienced resources communicate with the customer, in a structured manner, to report the threats, issues, challenges and poposed actions 24 X 7 Support Desk enables round the clock monitoring and incident reporting and resolution Cloud Security team enables implementation of Security Controls, Patch Management, detailed monitoring and Disaster Recovery planning Service Delivery Management enables the service level agreements and reports on SLA targets, achievements and service level variations Dedicated Account Management ensures critical communication and coordination with customer stakeholders How do we charge? Our services charges are made up of the following two components: Fixed Service Management Charges Variable Service Charges, based our customers choose. upon the services
4 Why ITIL? The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), is a set of practices for IT service management (ITSM) that focuses on aligning IT services with the needs of business. In its current form (known as ITILv3 and ITIL 2011 edition), ITIL is published in a series of five core publications, each of which covers an ITSM lifecycle stage. ITILv3 underpins ISO/IEC (previously BS15000), the International Service Management Standard for IT service management, although differences between the two frameworks do exist. ITIL describes procedures, tasks and checklists that are not organization- specific, used by an organization for establishing a minimum level of competency. It allows the organization to establish a baseline from which it can plan, implement, and measure. It is used to demonstrate compliance and to measure improvement. There isn t any Cloud specific edition of ITIL processes but the fundamental ITIL practices are paramount to the service delivery and service management in Cloud Computing
