3 Welcome to Pivot Cycles It s been another exciting year and we d like to take the opportunity to thank all of our current Pivot fans and customers as well as those looking to join the Pivot family in the coming year marked the introduction of our first carbon Pivot (the Mach 5.7) with much anticipation and excitement. We always said that we would not introduce a carbon bike just for the sake of having a carbon bike. It had to have a true performance benefit and offer the benefits of lighter weight, increased stiffness, and added strength. With the 5.7 Carbon we achieved our goals of building a lighter, stiffer, and stronger frame and in the process made a lot of really happy new friends and customers all over the world. Given the success of the 5.7 Carbon, it s quite natural that we would apply what we ve learned to even more products in our line. In what has to be the worst kept secret in Pivot history, we are introducing the all new Mach 429 carbon. Many expected to see this one from us sooner, but like all great things, the new 429 was certainly worth the wait. I get excited just thinking about it. The new 429 has been well over two years in the making as it is not just a lighter, stiffer, carbon version of the aluminum model, but an all new design that builds on the stunning reputation of the existing aluminum 429, featuring increased stand-over clearance and an overall, lighter, and more compact frame design. Trust me; it s a bike you cannot wait to throw a leg over. And just like the 429 was the worst kept secret; the new Pivot Les has to be one of the best. Just like it sounds, the new Les is an ultra lightweight carbon 29er hardtail frame. We ve had Pivot riders and racers asking for this for a long time and we couldn t think of a more perfect time to offer a one two punch of 29er carbon nirvana with both the Mach 429 Carbon and the Les. The Les features Pivot s proven geometry and Pivot s attention to detail in a 29er hardtail package with a twist: Our new patent pending Swinger adjustable dropout system option allows the perfect set up for both geared and single speed riders. Without giving away too much (you still need to read the catalog), the Swinger system should prove to be the answer to single speed riders prayers. It s a design that s simple, adjustable, easy to use, and takes single speed set up and functionality to a whole new level. Our testers didn t want to return the bikes! As for the rest of our line, we have models that deliver class-leading performance in almost every category. Our goal is to continually develop bikes that meet the needs of our customers. We are always listening and we love to hear how your new Pivot has made you a better rider or simply allowed you to enjoy your riding experience more. 5 Pivot has upped the ante once again by taking the proven performance of the Mach 429 and adding carbon.
