3 My personal «bio» : Bernard CHENEVIER 1979 Graduated in Physics Grenoble University Istanbul (Turkey) as civil servant Physics and Chemistry at the Lycée Galatasaray 1983 Starteda«Ph D», joined CNRS as researcher and then started a «Doctorat d Etat» (Highest diploma of the french University ) at Laue Langevin Institute (Grenoble) : European High Flux neutron reactor 1990 Defended a Doctorat d Etat «Structural Physics» Post Doc stay at NRIM in Tsukuba : «High resolution electron microscopy of high Tc superconducting materials» 1993 LMGP Laboratory of Materials and Physical Engineering From 1993 : 100 papers in International journals : «Structural and physical properties of materials for Information and Communication Technologies» 2001 : CNRS Director of Research 2003 Deputy Director of LMGP (45 permanent + 60 non permanent staff) joint CNRS/ G InP Unit : develop the strategy of a Material Science lab. after moving to the MINATEC site Highly international and competitive environment Director of LMGP ; Deputy Director of MINOS Lab : one of the Excellence laboratories in France

4 From France Links with Japan research From 1992 : after 2 years as Post doc at NRIM From Japan Many collaborations, **10 visits of Japan as invited researcher (NRIM or other french support), ** 2012 Exploratory stay (Bridge JSPS) : 6 week visit of WPI and associated Universities in AIMR Tohoku Sendai icems Kyoto MANA Tsukuba Sent young researchers to NIMS, OIST as pots doc researchers / short term internships Many visits of Professors and researchers from NIMS. For instance : ** 2011:2012 : Prof. Takano from Kyoto University (3months in Grenoble as FAME European network fellowship) ** : Dr. Kitaguchi from NIMS : 4 months as Invited profesor by G InP and FAME.
