22 Human Development Major Worksheets in detail Lower Division Requirements ANTH 200, HD101, PSYC 100, 220, and 230 need to be completed as soon as possible These are pre-requisites for other upper division HD classes It is your responsibility to know about prerequisites Prerequisites are listed in the General Catalog Core requirements First page for all concentrations are the same Concentration requirements Second page is DIFFERENT for all concentrations
23 Human Development Major Worksheet in detail (con t) Psychology Faculty for PSYC 220 and PSYC 230 strictly enforce the pre-requisites for these courses. Do not register for a course where you have not met the pre-requisite. If you ve taken classes at community college or another four year university be prepared to show transcripts proving you ve completed the pre-requisite on the first day of class. PSYC 220 is a Behavioral Statistics course, in order to take PSYC 230 here at CSUSM, you must have completed an equivalent to Behavioral Statistics at community college. This is strictly enforced, no exceptions. Course pre-requisites are listed under the course description in the catalog and on the major worksheets
24 Important Information about the Human Development Major You CAN NOT double count upper division General Education courses (BB,CC, DD) in your major PSYC 220 and PSYC 230 are pre-requisites for HD 497 These pre-requisites are strictly enforced, no exceptions. HD 495 is an Internship class and is typically taken in one of your last two semesters Courses with a pre-requisite restriction: if you do meet the pre-requisite, you will need to contact the instructor for a permission number to add the class.
