3 1. Prerequisites Minimum Drupal 6.x, Übercart 2.4 Access to the store's administration interface Direct file or FTP access to the server where the store is installed

4 2. Upgrading When upgrading from a previous version of the Klarna module, please follow the installation steps below. Any database upgrades will be executed when you go to the settings page. Also remember to update part payments.

5 3. Installation The installation of this module is rather straightforward. Simply copy the files to the respective folders. 3.1 Backup your existing installation Copy your entire Drupal installation directory tree to another location. Create a database snapshot and save it. 3.2 Copying the necessary files Copy the uc_klarna/ directory to /path/to/drupal/modules/ubercart/payment/ 3.3 Verify installation To verify that the installation has been successful, open up your web browser and navigate to your store's administration interface. Administer Site building Modules Enable Klarna payment module and save.

6 4. Setup 4.1 General settings Import the country (countries, if you are going to use multi-currency) your store will support at Administer Store administration Configuration Country settings. Your store country must be one of the countries where Klarna operates and your store's default currency must be one of the currencies Klarna supports (does not apply to multi-currency enabled stores). Set these settings at Administer Store administration Configuration Store settings 4.2 Klarna settings When we have successfully installed the module we need to set it up to be able to use it. Go to Administer Store administration Configuration Payment settings. Click Edit Payment gateways. There should be a section named Klarna merchant information. You need to configure all Klarna modules you wish to enable (Klarna Part Payment and Klarna Invoice). Field Description Test mode Merchant ID Select if you want to use test mode. Enabling this will create test invoices in Klarna Online Note! Only test invoices will be created when this is enabled. No invoices will be sent and no money will be paid to the merchant so it is really important that you remember to remove this when you are ready to go live. The merchant ID that you have received from Klarna Secret The shared secret that you have received

7 Invoice fees (Klarna Invoice module only) Yearly income cart limit Annual interest rate for Norwegian customers (Klarna Part Payment module only) from Klarna. Set the apropriate invoice fees for the respective countries. Supply this value in your store's default currency. When the customer's order value is above this value, he or she must supply their yearly income. By default, Denmark is set to 1 due to legal requirements and all other countries are set to -1. Whether or not to show annual interest rate for Norwegian customers. This may be a legal requirement. Check Update part payment plans now to update your part payment plans. Save your configuration changes. 4.3 Klarna invoice taxes In order to apply tax to our invoice fee you have to add a tax class with the help of Ubercart's settings. Go to Administer Store configuration Configuration Tax rates and settings. Next click on Add a tax rate. 1. Add a appropriate name for your tax class: 2. Fill in the rate for it: 3. 8 4.4 Localization and currencies Localization This module provides translations for English, Swedish, Norwegian (Bokmål), Danish, Finnish, German and Dutch. Please install the language(s) you wish to use with the Locale core module in your Drupal installation Currencies By default, Übercart supports only one currency. This module has experimental support for the uc_multicurrency module ( which gives support for multiple currencies Multi-currency Please read Multi-currency's documentation prior to installing the module. This module will detect country based on the global user object ($user->country_iso_2), just like uc_multicurrency does. You must enable some means for the customer to set this value, i.e. using uc_multicurrency's country switcher. When using multi-currency, Klarna price handler must be used for price formatting. Cache generated price values until next cron run must also be switched off. Set these values at Administer Store administration Configuration Price handler settings Note: As mentioned in Multi-currency's documentation, that there are caching issues with Drupal which may cause unexpected behavior. This module has been tested with Multi-currency 6.x- 1.x-dev. However, Klarna cannot guarantee its operation. Add the currencies you wish to enable (available: SEK,DKK,NOK,EUR).

18 5. Testing the module The best way to test the module is to do some test purchases. If you don t want to do this with your own personal information, you can use a suitable test person from here: Make a purchase Add something to the basket and go to the checkout. Select any of the active Klarna payment options. 5.2 Go live If purchases seem to work, switch off test mode and go live. Go to Administer Store administration Configuration Payment settings. Click Edit Payment gateways Set Test mode to off and save.
