BASIS FOR TEACHING QUALIFICATIONS Faculty Employee Name: Transfer Coursework Qualifying Criteria The faculty employee teaching transfer coursework holds a master s degree or higher in the discipline or subfield Check as applicable The faculty employee holds a master s degree or higher in a discipline or subfield other than that in which he or she is teaching and has completed a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline or subfield in which they teach Qualification Comments: Occupational Coursework Qualifying Criteria The faculty employee teaching occupational coursework shall have at least ONE of the following: A degree at a level higher than the program in which they are teaching A nationally recognized certification relevant to the program they are teaching A certification required by an accrediting body specific to the program they are teaching Years of experience that can only be acquired through the unique knowledge, skills and abilities obtained through an occupational career specific to the program they are teaching Qualification Comments:

TEACHING ONLINE Check as applicable Online Instruction Qualifying Criteria The faculty employee teaching online coursework shall have at least TWO of the following: An official certification issued by the LMS developer The Quality Matters Applying the Quality Matters Rubric certification The Sloan C Online Teaching Certification, LERN Certified Online Online Teaching Certification, or equivalent, recognized certification, or equivalent graduate level coursework Completion of at least two BRCTC e learning training courses At least three years of experience teaching a course at BRCTC or another accredited institution in which all or the vast majority (75% or more) of the instruction and interaction occurs via the internet.
