1 OPEN ENROLLMENT EDITION Special Issue For All UK Benefits-Eligible Employees Spring 2013 Anthem becomes plan administrator We are happy to announce that Anthem has been chosen by the University of Kentucky as the new third-party administrator for the UK health plans beginning July 1, They replace Humana. Anthem will assist the UK health plans by processing claims, handling appeals and handling customer service. (As always, UK-HMO s provider network consists mainly of providers in UK HealthCare.) We are looking forward to this opportunity to work with Anthem. Because of this new relationship, we will be able to offer some new services to our members: 24/7 NurseLine Round-the-clock access to health information can be vital to your peace of mind and well-being. Can you treat the problem at home? Do you need to see your doctor? Or should you head straight to the emergency room? Making the right call can help you avoid needless worry and expense. And, most importantly, safeguard your health and the health of your family. Nurse coaches are available to talk with you about your general health issues any time of the day or night on a toll-free line. To reach the 24/7 NurseLine, call (toll-free). ConditionCare If you or someone you love has a chronic health condition, this service can help you get more out of life. ConditionCare nurses help people of all ages manage the symptoms of asthma and diabetes. They also work closely with adults who are dealing with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), heart failure and coronary artery disease, as well as some types of cancers. If you or a covered family member have been diagnosed with skin, prostate, colon or breast cancer, ConditionCare can help you understand treatment options, manage side effects and symptoms, and feel better. With ConditionCare, you ll get the information you need to feel your very best day after day. ConditionCare nurses gather information from you and your doctor. Then, they create a personalized plan just for you. To learn more or enroll in ConditionCare, call (toll free). We may call to find out if ConditionCare can help you and ask you to sign up. For your protection, we ll verify your address or date of birth before talking about your health. ComplexCare You may need ComplexCare if you have more than one health issue or a condition that could mean frequent or high levels of health care. This program can partner you, your family and your doctors with a ComplexCare nurse and other experts to help you reach your personal health goals and avoid costly hospital re-admissions. You get toll-free, 24-hour access to ComplexCare nurses for personal education, along with preventive care and self-management tips. The nurses give you one-on-one attention and lifestyle coaching, help you make better decisions about your options, help you transition your care, and coordinate care between doctors and other health service providers. A nurse will contact you if you are eligible for the program. Future Moms We know your goal is to have a safe delivery and a healthy baby. Future Moms, a voluntary program, can help you take care of your baby before you deliver. (continued on next page)

2 (continued from front page) Register for Future Moms and you ll get: Toll-free, 24/7 access to a registered nurse who ll answer your questions and talk about pregnancy issues with you. A helpful book: Your Pregnancy Week by Week. Materials to help you know what to do if something unexpected happens. A questionnaire to check your risk of delivering too early. Useful tools to help you, your doctor and your Future Moms nurse-coach track your pregnancy and spot possible problems. Answers and support are just a phone call away. Enroll in the Future Moms program at no additional cost by calling (toll free). MyHealth Advantage MyHealth Advantage is a free service that helps keep you and your bank account healthier. Here s how it works: Anthem reviews your incoming health claims to see if they can save you money. They also check what medications you re taking and alert your doctor if they see a potentially dangerous drug interaction. Plus, they keep track of your routine tests and checkups reminding you to make these appointments by mailing you a MyHealth Note. MyHealth Notes summarize your recent claims. Staying Healthy Reminders Sometimes a gentle reminder can be the boost you need to help you be your healthy best. Our Staying Healthy Reminders are mailers that remind you about important preventive health screenings or exams based on your age or gender. Staying Healthy Reminders are already part of your health plan, so there s nothing to join and no extra cost. All you need to do is keep an eye on your mailbox!
