3 1 File format Encoding: 8-bit ASCII (ISO ). 1.1 Separators Field separator: Tab character: \t. (char(9)) Row separator: Line Feed or Carriage Return + Line Feed: \n or \r\n. (char(10) or char(13)char(10)) 1.2 Data types Values that are NULL must NOT have any characters between the field separators. String (varchar, char, date, text) must be enclosed with double quotes i.e. string. The size limits for varchar and char are given in the data type column. The data type text has no size limit. Date strings must follow the format YYYY-MM-DD i.e Any double quote that is part of the string itself must be represented by two double quotes e.g. Baggage size is restricted to 10 X12 X5 for all pieces must be sent as Baggage size is restricted to 10 X12 X5 for all pieces. Numeric value: The separator for decimal digits is a full stop i.e Array: The values of an array must be comma-separated and be enclosed with double quotes i.e. 1,3,5,67 or MAN,LON,PAR. The order of the values is not relevant. 1.3 File description header No Name Data type Mand. Description The columns No and Name are for reference only. Date type is given as SQL-data types and detailed at 1.2 Date types above. Mand. indicates whether the field must contain valid data or not. Commonly only yes or no is given but if a number is given, the explanation will be found under the table. Description tries to indicate what kind of information the field should be used for as well as sometimes give examples. Each file description refers to one complete row of the file in question. A mandatory field must contain valid data. A row must have the correct number of fields. An empty field must NOT have any characters between the field separators.
