4 TMS2 Platform and Hosting Summary The current TMS2 platform is comprised of the following servers: Virtual Machines Titan provide two types of virtual machine which differ in basic architecture HA and Non-HA (High Availability). Non- HA VM s are based on resilient hardware and benefit from our data centre power and network resilience but are standalone hosts running multiple VM s. The Titan HA Cluster however is a full redundant highly available platform which benefits from multiple hosts able to run and maintain load for any VM within the cluster. Persistent resilient storage allows for VM s to run on any given host and removes the concerns of losing one of the virtualisation hosts or nodes. 9 Our Data Centres Offering a total of 3,500 m² of advanced data centre technology in 5 major UK locations we are not hindered by lack of space, legacy operating systems or practices. Five fully owned and managed UK data centres located in London, Nottingham, Leicester, Glasgow and Maidenhead. Each iomart data centre is fully powered, secure, resilient and newly equipped to handle the demands of future computing trends such as high density computing, virtualisation, energy conservation, distributed storage and multi site disaster recovery. All data centres are connected via a 10 Gigabit-per-second (Gbps) fibre ring which provides resilience and diversity with each data centre network hub housing Cisco Catalyst modular appliances which are connected to Multiple Tier 1 transit providers who provide redundant links and equipment to avoid any downtime.
