1 TermsofReference(JobDescription): ContractPositionofCommunicationsAssociateforICWGlobal Introduction The International Community of Women Living with HIV(ICW Global) is the only globalnetworkrunbyandforwomenlivingwithhivandaids.bringingwomen togetheraroundthecommoncall Nothingforus,withoutus ;ICWGlobalworks to build and strengthen the movement of women living with HIV to undertake advocacy at national, regional and global levels. At its core, ICW is a vibrant grassroots network with over 15,000 members in ICW networks operating in 120 countries and with 9 active regional networks spanning the globe. We envision a world where all women living with HIV live their lives free of gender oppression, realizing and claiming their full rights inclusive of sexual, reproductive, legal, economicandhealthrights.icwgloballeadsinsecuringandimprovingthequality of life for women living with HIV through mobilizing, organizing, advocating, mentoring and raising consciousness on the issues that directly impact women s lives. PurposeoftheICWGlobalCommunicationAssociate: Tosupportthedevelopmentandimplementationofaglobalcommunications strategy Toleadrelevantinternalandexternalstakeholdercommunications,including NetworkPartners,membership,GlobalStaffandISC. ToincreasebrandrecognitionofICWandtheGlobalOffice ToincreasetodisseminationofICWpublicationsintheglobalsphere ScopeofWork(Mainfunctions) ICWGlobalCommunicationsAssociatewillleadthecoordinationorall communications,exchangingandreportingoficwglobalofficeandiscactivities internallyandexternally.theicwglobalcommunicationsassociateprovides supporttotheiscandtheglobalstaff.thisisacontractedpositionthatisbasedin Nairobi,KenyaandawomanlivingwithHIVisdesired.Thispositionisbasedon thefundingbeingavailable. Responsibilities: Tosupportthedevelopmentandimplementationofaglobalcommunications strategy. Toprovideexpertiseandresourcestointernalandexternalstakeholders (NetworkPartners,otherstrategicstakeholders,members,andICWregions)to implementcommunicationsstrategiesforallaudiences. ToleadthedevelopmentofprojectX,programXortopicXrelatedcommunications strategies,inlinewithicwglobal svision. Toleadthedevelopmentofcommunicationscollateral,includingeducational materials. Tooverseethedevelopment,productionanddistributionofallnewslettersand

3 corepublications,suchastheannualreport. Toleadrelevantinternalandexternalstakeholdercommunications,including NetworkPartners,membership,GlobalStaffandISC. Towriteanddisseminatemediareleases,articles,editorials,etc. Todevelopcontentforwebsites,socialmedia(TwitterandFacebook)andICW Globalcommunicationsmaterial. ToprovidecomprehensiveeditorialsupporttoICWGlobalstaffandISC. Tomanagepressengagement,maintainahighXqualitymediadatabaseandmedia monitoringreportsasneeded. Tosupportthedevelopment,implementationanddaytodaymanagementofthe globalcrisiscommunicationsstrategyandworkwithregionalcoordinatorsand internstomanageglobalandregionalpriorities..
