1 Workers Compensation s by Effective July 1, 2006 The workers compensation class advisory loss costs are actuarially determined by the National Council on Compensation Insurance, Inc. (NCCI), West Virginia s statistical rating agent. The loss costs will become effective July 1, 2006 for all classifications. Advisory s do not include a carrier s Multiplier, which is a factor that increases the loss costs to recover administrative expenses and business operations. The final rate will be the class loss cost multiplied by the carrier loss cost multiplier. BrickStreet Insurance has filed and received approval from the Insurance Commissioner to implement a loss cost multiplier of Payroll fluctuations and allocations, classification assignments, experience rating modifications (E- Mods), credit programs and additional policy endorsements will all contribute to the final written premium due for each policy. These factors, as well as all surcharges, are not reflected in the loss cost amounts. The per capita classes (0909, 0912 and 0913) show a loss cost based on the number of employees reported for those classes rather than the payroll reported. Example: An employer reports 3 domestic workers for class The annual premium would calculate as follows: 3 X $ = $ annual written premium NCCI 0005 Farm: Nursery Employees & Farm Gardening-Market or Truck & Farm: Orchard & Farm: Poultry or Egg Producer & Farm: Florist & Farm: Dairy & Farm: Field Crops & Landscape Gardening & Farm Machinery Operation by Contractor & Farm: Berry or Vineyard & Farm: Cattle or Livestock Raising NOC & Tree Pruning, Spraying, Repairing All Operations & Farm Fish Hatchery & N Companion to 4771 Non-ratable P Domestic Workers Outside Occasional Including Occasional Private Chauffeurs P Domestic Workers Outside Including Private Chauffeurs P Domestic Workers Residences Domestic Workers Inside Domestic Service Contractor - Inside * Coal Mining - Surface & * Coal Mining - Surface & Traumatic - State Only * Coal Mining - NOC * Coal Mining - Underground Traumatic State only D Mining NOC - Not Coal - Underground - & D Mining NOC - Not Coal - Surface - &
