1 How to find the serial number of your new Haier equipment The Haier serial number is a total 20 of numbers and letters. It is this long as it tells us lots of information about the item you have just purchased. It is important that you copy it very carefully. On some Haier appliances the serial number is only 9 numbers long, please see page 6 for more information. An example of a 20 digit serial number is CE0HR0E0600CP9BP0001 Any character I or O is always a number, so I is a 1 (one) and the O is always a 0 (zero). Where can I find the serial number? The serial number is usually located on the front of the machine and is on the machines data plate. Please refer to the following pages for specific location of the data plate on your machine. If you cannot find or read the data plate or the serial number please contact the help desk who will be happy to help. I can t read the data plate because it is damaged On washing machines, dishwashers, fridges and freezers there is another set of serial numbers on the back of each machine, usually located top left of the machine. You will need to gain access to the back of the machine. Please be very careful as washing machines are very heavy and the tall fridges may topple over if not moved carefully. We strongly suggest you get assistance with moving washing machines and tall fridges and freezers. Take care not to strain, trap or cut power cables and water connections when gaining access to the back of the machine. Take extra care when putting them back not to trap, cut, kink or strain the cables, pipes or squash your fingers. Take care to position fridges and freezers so that there is adequate ventilation around them and no part of the fridge or freezer touches the walls or you will get unwanted noises were parts of the fridge / freezer vibrates and touches the walls. The quantity of serial number / bar codes may vary from those illustrated as they can be peeled off for a number of uses. 3 Washing Machines and Washer Dryers The serial number is on the data plate is behind the door. Dishwashers The data plate on a Haier dishwasher is located on the top left side of the door. 4 Fridges, Freezer and Fridge Freezers Fridges, freezers and fridge freezers typically have the data plate on the left side of the compartment. You will have to remove the crisper drawer to gain access to see the data plate. On the Side-by-Side (American style) fridge freezers the data plate is typically top left of the fridge compartment. 5 Wine Cellar and Wine Coolers The data label on Wine Cellar and Wine Coolers is on the back near the top of the cabinet. There is usually a bar code under the numbers and letters of the serial number. If you have a bar code reader you can use this to read the serial number. Please take care when moving the wine coolers especially if full of bottles. Televisions. The serial number is on the back of the TV typically near the where the connections are. 6 The 9 digit serial number. On some Haier appliances there will be a 9 digit serial instead of the usual 20 digit serial number. The serial number will always be in the same location however long it is as detailed in the previous pages of this guide.
