2 Introduction The purpose of this document is to prevent access problems, and if it still occurs, to simplify the troubleshooting. The document provides system requirements for SELMA as well as examples of common errors and how these can be handled. For further information, questions or to report errors, please contact SELMA Support (see Contact information). System requirements First of all, you need to have a certificate from the Riksbank installed on your web browser. To use SELMA and to obtain the required encryption level you must have a web browser according to the requirements stated in the table below. We recommend the use of Microsoft Internet Explorer, since it will give you the best support when you use SELMA. If other web browsers are used with SELMA, the Riksbank cannot give any guarantees concerning data integrity, confidentiality or security, or concerning the functionality of SELMA. You must also have a java virtual machine (JVM) installed and activated. When users enter their user ID a Java applet or ActiveX component is launched, prompting the users to enter a PIN. 5 Cause: Problem with Java Solution: By yourself or with help from your local IT-support do the following and try again after each step: 1. Delete temporary Internet files from Java Control Panel (see How to ) 2. Update to a newer version of Java (see System requirements) 3. Try another web browser (see System requirements) 4.
