New and readmitted students are encouraged to apply for admission or readmission at least six weeks prior to the start of the session they plan to enroll. This allows students to complete all required steps in the enrollment process in a timely manner to be sufficiently prepared for class start. (See Steps to Enroll on page 2 of this guide). At the orientation you will learn about registration procedures, college policies, student services, academic expectations, and how to accomplish your educational goals. For more information, visit Online orientation is recommended but not required for transfer and returning students. To request permission and specific instructions on completing online orientation, please call and ask to speak with the Counseling Center on the campus of your choice. A representative will work with you to provide permission and instructions on completing online orientation. If you are a distance learner and need to know how to participate in New Student Orientation, please call and ask to speak with the Counseling Center on the campus of your choice. Depending on your previous college experience, you can find your Steps to Enroll at Students who attend a college away from home, but while home for the summer take a course at Tri-C, are classified as a Transient/Visiting student. Accreditation Program 60 Registration Emergency Closing Student Access to Information E-Learning Online courses allows students to complete all course requirements without coming to campus. Tests may be online or in a suitable proctored environment. 12 FALL/SPRING/SUMMER Enrollment Guide Cuyahoga Community College Paying for College Residency Fee Schedule and Tuition Cost Institutional Fee Course Supplemental Fees Tuition Guarantee Program Residency Fees charged at the College are based on the individual student s residency status designated as In-County, Out-of- County, or Out-of-State. This status is determined at the point of admission. If this status changes while enrolled at the College, it is the student s responsibility to notify and submit documentation to the Enrollment Center by the end of the first week of the full term for which a change in residency is being requested for tuition purposes. Students should complete and submit the FAFSA application and all required documentation for Fall 2015 by the POSTED PRIORITY DEADLINE of July 1, 2015, for Spring by December 1, 2015, and for Summer by May 1, Financial aid opportunities are available in the form of scholarships, grants, loans and part-time employment. Eligibility and approval for all forms of financial aid should be determined at least six weeks prior to registration. Students are urged to apply for financial aid well in advance of the beginning of classes. Applications are available online at Book lines of credit will be provided to students who have met all financial aid eligibility requirements, registered in applicable coursework for the term, and met academic standards for financial aid purposes. Book lines of credit may be available at least one week before the start of the term for eligible students.
