9 Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002 Standard of Care Safe Drinking Water Act requires people with decision making authority to exercise a level of care, diligence and skill that a reasonably prudent person would be expected to hold and act competently Standard of Care came into effect on December 31 st, 2012 Environmental Services staff implement Council approved direction to meet Standard of Care through budget approval including required resources Environmental Services continues to meet key Standard of Care requirements by complying with applicable Acts and Regulations Slide 9
