4 SPEAKERS Julie Brown Litigation Technology Manager at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP Julie manages the litigation technology, which provides consultation, support, training, processing and production of e-discovery. She is currently on the EDRM Advisory Committee and is an active participant. Julie drafted the EDRM Production Standards in She serves on ILTA s Litigation and Practice Support Steering Committee and is a working group member of the Sedona Conference. Julie is CEDS certified and has certifications in all Summation applications, Sanction, LAW 5.0, Viewpoint, ITIL and Lean Six Sigma. Brett Burney Principal at Burney Consultants LLC Brett focuses his time on bridging the chasm between the legal and technology frontiers of electronic discovery. He is very active in the Mac-using lawyer community, working with law firms who desire to integrate Mac and ios devices into their practices. Prior to establishing Burney Consultants LLC, Brett spent over five years at Thompson Hine LLP. He is a frequent contributor to Law.com and speaks around the country on litigation support, e-discovery and Mac-related topics. Brian Clayton Chief Information Officer at Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP Brian plays a key role in the use of technology to provide value-added service to the firm s clients. He is accountable for creating a competitive edge for Taft using technology, people and process. Brian s areas of responsibility include information technology, practice support, litigation support, e-discovery, and records and docket management. He has over 20 years of experience in technology management and operations with over 17 years in a legal technology leadership capacity. Brian has been the CIO for the past two years of his seven years at Taft. Eric Crespolini Vice President of ediscovery Technologies at HP Autonomy Eric has over a decade of experience building and leading teams of industry leaders in delivering e-discovery expertise to leading enterprises. He specializes in electronic discovery, computer forensics and litigation management best practices. In addition to being an attorney, Eric has over a decade of experience in information technology management and consulting, including implementing enterprise-wide financial and project control systems, data warehousing, electronic collection, disaster planning and operational process development. Matthew Curtin Founder of Interhack Matthew, CISSP leads a team of computer experts who aid executives and attorneys facing challenges and opportunities involving the management of information. They provide information security assessments and incident response programs to support policy definition and enforcement, as well as regulatory compliance in IT. Matthew advises organizations on the use of enterprise-wide cryptographic controls and analyzes information technology and electronically stored information to answer questions that arise in adjudication. Brian Donato Chief Information Officer at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP Brian has worked in the information technology field for over 27 years, spending the last 15 years with Vorys. With experience ranging from software developer to process engineer and IT director, he has a broad background in technology and business. Brian currently serves as the firm s Security Officer and as the technical advisor for the firm s privacy and health care practice groups. He has assisted on a number of representations involving forensic investigations. Brian is a member of ILTA s Information Governance Peer Group Steering Committee and LegalSec Advisory Committee. He is also a task force lead for the Law Firm Information Governance Symposium. David Hasman Litigation Support Manager at Bricker & Eckler LLP David provides consulting on all litigation and e-discovery matters for the firm. His responsibilities include designing, implementing and maintaining litigation. In addition, David coordinates special projects for the firm and is responsible for the evaluation, selection and negotiation of agreements with third-party discovery vendors. He has 10 years of experience in the litigation support field.
5 SPEAKERS Aaron Lewis Director of Ethics and Compliance Operations at Cardinal Health During the past eight years, Aaron has been involved with the e-discovery team, helping Cardinal Health develop an in-house litigation support workflow from collection through processing and production. He also has experience with internal investigation support, including forensic analysis, monitoring and data loss prevention. Doug Matthews Partner at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP Doug s practice focuses on electronic discovery matters, and he is the head of the firm s electronic discovery practice group. Doug is a member of the Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention & Production and is co-founder of the Columbus Chapter of the Friends of ediscovery, a group of outside counsel, in-house counsel, IT professionals and members of the federal and state judiciary who meet to discuss ESI issues. Sarah Miller Litigation Support Specialist at Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur LLP Sarah Miller is an Attorney in the firm s Litigation and Information Systems Departments. She advises attorneys regarding in-house and outside vendor review platforms, and consults on relevance and privilege determinations on ESI. Sarah has experience on several trial teams, assisting with strategic trial presentations. She has created and managed electronic courtroom presentations for matters in industries ranging from pharmaceutical and bioscience to manufacturing. Patrick Oot Senior Special Counsel for Electronic Discovery in the Office of the General Counsel at United States Securities and Exchange Commission Patrick advises as co-chair of the agency s cross-divisional Electronic Discovery Action Team and is co-author of The SEC Electronic Discovery and Litigation Response Manual. He counsels SEC senior leadership and agency staff on best practices and guidance for discovery and litigation strategy, privilege protections and strategically significant matters involving forensics, technology and Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) interpretation for subpoena enforcement. Constantine Pappas Advice Specialist by Relativity by kcura Constantine is a licensed attorney and has more than 15 years of legal experience, having served as in-house counsel in both the medical equipment and airline industries. He has managed both paper and electronic discovery efforts for a number of large-scale civil lawsuits and government investigations. Constantine is currently a member of kcura s advice@kcura team, where he provides workflow consultation to clients wishing to enhance their experience with Relativity. His expertise lies in the area of text analytics, specifically kcura s computer-assisted review offering, Relativity Assisted Review. Glen Pritchard Personal Injury Lawyer at Clark, Perdue & List Glen focuses his practice on serious personal injury and wrongful death cases, insurance coverage disputes, and appellate practice. He was named the 2014 Insurance Law Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers. Glen also teaches Internet legal research to paralegals at the Capital Law School Paralegal Program, oversees his firm s technology needs and has given more than 100 CLE presentations to lawyers in the areas of insurance law, litigation practice and legal technology. Julie Richer Legal Technology Program Manager at American Electric Power Julie manages requests for production, legal holds, data collection and document review activities for the AEP legal department. Julie also oversees the legal operations team responsible for invoicing, reporting and application support. Prior to transferring to legal in 2008, she spent 10 years in the IT department at AEP.
6 SPEAKERS Martin Susec Assistant General Counsel at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Martin advises and supports fellow attorneys and business units on the proper management of information within the enterprise. Martin handles a variety of electronic discovery and information management matters and proactively assists in reducing corporate litigation costs and risks. He researches and consults on new and proposed laws, standards and regulatory trends within the field of information management and identifies risks presented by proposed actions of the business. Martin is a Certified Record Manager (CRM) and has given several presentations before national conferences within the information management industry. He is also an active member of ARMA International. Gary Torgersen Vice President of Technology at Document Solutions, Inc. Gary, CEDS, EnCE and CCE, is a member of the International Society of Computer Forensics Examiner (ISCFE) and is founder and officer of the Nashville chapter of the American Society of Digital Forensics and ediscovery. He has an extensive background in computer and Web programming, including computer forensics training from the FBI. Gary is currently writing graduate-level course curricula related to e-discovery and computer forensics. Rosa Waller E-Discovery Project Manager at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP Rosa has over 24 years of experience in litigation with Vorys and collaborates with legal teams and clients to define and execute strategies for e-discovery projects. Rosa is CEDS-certified and has certifications in Viewpoint, Summation, Sanction and LAW 5.0. She has provided user support and training for multiple discovery review platforms. Scott Whipps Records Manager at Honda North America Scott is responsible for the Honda Records Information Center program (RIC) and is currently focused on applying information governance practices to electronic records for North American operations. Scott began his career at Honda over 20 years ago as an IT professional building and managing enterprise client server collaboration systems, such as , instant messaging, smartphones and Web conferencing. John Winkler Litigation Consultant at Kroll Ontrack John partners with law firm clients to provide sound advice and best practices in connection with the management of electronically stored information in litigation and investigation. Leveraging over 16 years of experience, John works with clients to reduce the proposed scope of discovery through industry-leading technologies and provides consultative expertise and solutions related to the identification, preservation, collection, analysis and production of electronically stored information.
