18 What is RUS? RUS funds Telemedicine Projects and Continuing Education Projects largely for Equipment Applicants can choose from 100% grants, 100% loans, or 90% / 10% loan-grant combinations Website:
19 What Will RUS Fund? Acquiring eligible equipment - equipment primarily used for distance learning or telemedicine. Instructional programming, including programming that is already on the market. Technical assistance for the eligible equipment and training; up to 3 years maintenance
20 When? How Much? The application window will open in Q Grants The range of grant awards is $50,000 - $500,000. $25 million in funding is available. Loans There is a $10,000,000 ceiling There is usually a surplus of funds in this account.
21 Who is Eligible? Rural organizations who provide distance learning or telemedicine services Rurality requirements are strictly enforced. Focus on end users that are very isolated. For-profit entities are eligible and can be included. Urban sites can be part of an application, but, for a higher objective score, should be kept to Hub sites.
