Well equipped laboratory facilites Colour and spectral measurement, Colour management software, viewing booths, image acquisition and reproduction devices, etc. >200m2 Research group at Faculty of Computer Science and Media Technology at GUC 4 permanent staff members 10 temporary, visiting, and adjunct faculty 12 PhD students Fundamental and applied research within colour science and image/video processing Education Courses and projects to media bachelors and Master of Applied Computer Science International Erasmus Mundus master CIMET (Color in Informatics and Media Technology) French Norwegian master programme: 3D Multimedia Technology Upcoming: Sino Norwegian master programme: print and media technology International, national, and regional collaboration with industry and academia 1

8 HyPerCept: Colour and Quality in Higher Dimensions Et bredt, tverrfaglig og forskerstyrt forskningsprosjekt som med utgangspunkt i Fargelaboratoriets sterke kompetanse på farge og bildekvalitet skal løse forskningsutfordringer både av relativt grunnleggende art og innen flere nye og viktige anvendelsesområder, som universell utforming, helseteknologi, informasjonssikkerhet og 3D multimedia.
