20 The Global Group Recommends: SegmenFng Providers - Type 1 Providers Vendors such as Google, Amazon, Microsow. Individual NRENs are likely to have/want a direct rela<onship with these vendors. Likewise these vendors are structured in a way that will make a global approach unlikely to succeed WITHIN their corpora<ons internal lack of alignment, segmenta<on, local incen<ves, etc. Therefore the opportunity here is probably to share on specific projects or aspects rather than a global agreement
21 The Global Group Recommends: SegmenFng Providers: Type 2 Providers Vendors such as Box etc, that are Cloud Na<ve and need consistent requirements from each country that can be applied to all par<cipa<ng ins<tu<ons through an NREN, and also need to understand what limita<ons are imposed by the delivery loca<on (e.g. Australia legisla<on), but are good targets for a combined business approach. Community Services (and VO services) fit into this category where they are expected to cross NREN s
22 The Global Group Recommends: SegmenFng Providers: Type 3 Providers Smaller regional vendors and services that may be cloud na<ve but are designed to be local rather than global approach is more likely to be NREN by NREN.
