27 Text search enhancement settings Example 27 Both the apostrophe [ap=on] and hyphen [hy=on] settings search for the apostrophe or hyphen, replace it with a space, or remove it leaving no space. The diacritics [di=on] setting searches for various forms of words with diacritics, including for example, the umlaut (ä, ü, ö) in German names. These settings greatly simplify searching for names with apostrophes or hyphens.
