HOW TO ENTER: The entry period for the Holland America Line Find Your Gold Giveaway (the Sweepstakes ), sponsored by Holland America Line ( Sponsor ), begins at 12:00 A.M. Pacific Time (PT) on January 28, 2016 and ends at 11:59 P.M. PT on September 2, 2016 (the Entry Period ). There are two ways to enter during the Entry Period. An entrant may purchase and, during the Entry Period, travel on a 2016 Holland America Line Yukon+Denali Land+Sea Journey to be automatically entered in the Sweepstakes. Alternatively, to enter without making a purchase, an entrant may hand print his or her name, mailing address, telephone number, address and date of birth on a 3 x 5 card, deposit the card in a standard business-sized envelope with sufficient postage affixed, and mail the envelope to: Find Your Gold Giveaway Entry, Holland America Line N.V., 300 Elliott Avenue West, Seattle, WA Mailed entries must be postmarked during the Entry Period and received by 11:59 P.M. PT on September 13, Normal time rates, if any, charged by Internet service provider will apply. Proof of submission does not constitute proof of entry. Entry times will be determined using Sponsor s computer, which will be the official clock for the Sweepstakes. There is a limit of one Sweepstakes entry per person and per address, regardless of method of entry. No purchase necessary. 2. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the fifty United States (excluding Colorado), the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry. Employees of Sponsor, its subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors and advertising and promotion agencies, and such employees' immediate family and household members (whether related or not), are not eligible. Void in Colorado, Quebec, U.S. territories and where prohibited by law. In the event of a dispute regarding any entry, the entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the address submitted at the time of entry (i.e., the natural person who is assigned to an address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization responsible for assigning addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address). The Sponsor's decision is final in deciding the identity and/or eligibility of an entrant. 3. WINNER SELECTION: On or about September 15, 2016, five potential winners will be selected in a random drawing conducted by Sponsor or its agent from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. 1

2 4. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION: Winners will be notified by , mail or phone, in Sponsor's discretion. Each winner is subject to verification and will be required to sign and return to Sponsor, within ten days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent, an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release and, if legally permissible, a Publicity Release (collectively, a Declaration and Release for residents of Canada) in order to claim his/her prize. If a potential winner is a Canadian resident (with the exception of Quebec, residents of which are not eligible to enter this Sweepstakes), he/she will be required to answer unaided a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question by telephone (or another manner determined by Sponsor in its discretion) before the prize can be claimed. In the event that such potential winner is unable to correctly answer the skill-testing question, Sponsor shall have the right to disqualify the potential winner and randomly select another potential winner, and Sponsor shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in connection therewith. If the potential winner is unreachable or fails to respond to any notification during a period of forty-eight (48) consecutive hours (Sponsor may elect not to leave messages on answering machines), or if the potential winner fails to respond or fails to sign and return any required documentation within the required time period, or if any attempted notification or prize delivery is returned as undeliverable, or if a potential winner does not otherwise comply with these Official Rules and/or cannot accept the applicable prize as awarded for any reason, the potential winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected. The potential winner must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. The decisions of Sponsor will be final and binding in all respects. 5. PRIZES: A total of five (5) prizes (each, a Prize ) will be offered in the Sweepstakes. Each Prize consists of one (1) gold nugget, each with an approximate retail value ( ARV ) of $999 USD. Any difference between ARV and actual value will not be awarded. Any incidental costs or other expenses not specifically set forth herein are the sole responsibility of Winner. APPROXIMATE TOTAL RETAIL VALUE ( ARV ) OF PRIZES: $4,995 USD. Any difference between stated ARV and actual value will not be awarded. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash equivalent or substitution of a Prize is offered, except at the sole discretion of Sponsor. If a Prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute such Prize with another prize of equal or greater value. Each Prize will be awarded if properly claimed. Winners will be solely responsible for all applicable Federal, State, provincial and local taxes on the Prize value or otherwise incurred in connection with the receipt of or participation in the Prize or participation in the Sweepstakes. Winner is responsible for any income taxes that may be due. 6. RELEASE AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK: By entering, each entrant, on behalf of the entrant and his or her heirs, executors, guardians, assigns, agents and representatives, releases Sponsor, all other parties involved in the development or administration of this Sweepstakes and each of their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and successors, and the directors, officers, employees, agents and assigns of each of the foregoing (all of the foregoing, the Sweepstakes Entities ) from and agrees not to assert any and all claims, actions, suits, proceedings and demands arising out of or relating to the conduct of or the entrant s participation in the Sweepstakes, the acceptance or use of the Prize or any exercise of the rights granted by entrant in this Agreement, and all liabilities, losses, injuries and/or damages arising out of relating to the 2

The foregoing includes, without limitation, any claims, actions, suits, proceedings or demands based upon or alleging any invasion of privacy, violation of right of publicity or infringement of any intellectual property or other personal or proprietary rights, or any personal injury or death to an entrant or any other person or any damage to or loss of personal or real property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to the acceptance of the Prize, participation in the redemption of the Prize or any activity or travel related thereto or participation in the Sweepstakes. Entrants assume all liability for and risk of any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in the Sweepstakes or use or redemption of any prize. BY ACCEPTING PRIZE, WINNER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HIS/HER PARTICIPATION IN THE PRIZE REDEMPTION IS VOLUNTARY, ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THERE ARE NATURAL FACTORS AND OCCURRENCES WHICH MAY IMPACT ON OR AFFECT THE SAFETY OF THE ACTIVITIES HE/SHE IS PARTICIPATING IN AND HE/SHE ASSUMES THE RISK OF SUCH FACTORS AND OCCURRENCES AND AGREES THAT TO THE EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, RELEASEES SHALL NOT BE IN ANY WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY RESULTING INJURY AND/OR DEATH. 7. GRANT OF RIGHTS: Entry constitutes an irrevocable grant of permission to Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, promotional partners, contractors, agents, licensees and those each of them may designate from time to time to use the entrant s name, likeness (including without limitation photographs and/or recordings of the entrant), voice and biographical information, for purposes of advertising, publicity or promotion and any other purpose, in all media and formats whether now known or later developed, throughout the world in perpetuity, without any notice, permission or compensation (except where prohibited by law). Sponsor will also have the right to identify each Winner in connection with requests submitted pursuant to Section 9 and as may be required by law. 8. GENERAL CONDITIONS: Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify or prohibit from participating in the Sweepstakes any individual who, in Sponsor s discretion, Sponsor determines or believes (a) has tampered with the entry process or has undermined the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception or other unfair playing practices, or (b) has engaged in conduct that annoys, abuses, threatens or harasses any other entrant or any representative of Sponsor, or (c) has attempted or intends to attempt any of the foregoing. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend this Sweepstakes should a technical problem, entrant fraud or misconduct, or other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor corrupt the administration, integrity, security or proper operation of the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prize. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded. The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for late, lost, delayed, illegible, damaged, corrupted or incomplete entries, s, incorrect or inaccurate capture of, damage to, or loss of entries or entry information, or any other human or technical errors of any kind relating to the submission, collection, storage or processing of entries or the administration of the Sweepstakes. Non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions may result in disqualification. All details concerning the conduct of the Sweepstakes will be determined by Sponsor in its discretion. By participating in this Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees (and agrees to confirm in writing) (a) to abide to these Terms and Conditions, which are final and binding, and the decisions of Sponsor with respect to all aspects of the Sweepstakes, which are final and 3

4 binding and (b) if the entrant is selected as a Winner, to accept the Prize as awarded, without substitution. If any provision of the Terms and Conditions or the application of any such provision to any person or circumstance shall be declared to be invalid, unenforceable or void, such decision shall not have the effect of invalidating or voiding the remainder of the Terms and Conditions, it being the intent and agreement of the parties that the Terms and Conditions shall be deemed amended by modifying such provision to the extent necessary to render it valid, legal and enforceable while preserving its intent or, if such modification is not possible, by substituting therefore another provision that is valid, legal and enforceable so as to give effect to Sponsor s intent. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding this Sweepstakes shall be directed to Sponsor. 9. DISPUTES: As a condition of participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree (and agree to confirm in writing), to the extent permitted by law: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, or any Prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (c) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, special, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses. Non-compliance with these Official Rules may result in disqualification. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrants and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Washington. Any legal proceedings arising out of this Sweepstakes or relating to these Official Rules shall be instituted only in the federal or state courts located in the State of Washington, and the parties consent to jurisdiction therein with respect to any legal proceedings or disputes of whatever nature arising under or relating to these rules. 10.
