5 EZ-Flats The EZ-Flats system features a sorting methodology for processing mixed-weight flats in a single pass. The MLOCR-based, IMpb-ready solution utilizes manifesting software that provides USPS-approved reports which streamline the sorting and finalization process and eliminates the need for time-consuming second passes, meters, and ink costs. The system provides rapid sorting capability to the 5-digit automation discount level allowing mailers to achieve higher profitability on large or small flats mailings. The EZ-Flats system can process USPS rates including First-Class Flats and Parcels, Priority Mail, Standard Class Flats and Parcels, BPM Flats and Parcels, Media Mail, and Library Mail. The EZ-Flats system is a scalable solution. A direct upgrade path starting with the entry level EZ-Flats Essential modular solution enables low-volume mailers to become quickly profitable, and utilizes all original equipment purchased when volumes increase. With a client/server configuration, several machines can run in parallel to process daily flats volumes. The introductory model for the EZ-Flats system, the EZ-Flats Essential handles lower-volume runs. The Essential features best-of-class OCR technology and works with Parascript and/or RAF Platinum. The system installs easily and operators are up to speed within fifteen minutes after installation. A touch screen monitor provides easy access to both workstation computer and server. The EZ- Flats Essential also includes a label printer and barcode scanner. Utilizing the Essential platform plus Engineering Innovation s patent-pending Dynamic Sort technology, the EZ-Flats Enhanced will expedite the finalization process. Dynamic Sort identifies the tenth piece for bundle-based processing as it is read by the OCR, and then dynamically reassigns its routing designation for the maximum discount. This greatly reduces the amount of time required to bundle and containerize the mailing at the end of the run. In addition, Dynamic Sort provides a road map for correctly packaging the mail to meet USPS requirements. The EZ-Flats Premium combines processing automation and Dynamic Sort to enable higher volume mailings. With an automatic label applicator, conveyor, and automated sort pockets (expandable for quick kills on higher volumes), the Premium solution can process at a rate of up to 2000 flats per hour Rate Guide Engineering Innovation, Inc. 5

6 The Champ The Champ s unique approach to processing mail builds on nearly 30 years of direct mail room experience. Utilizing EII s exclusive smart class conversion combined with differential weighing and industry-leading manifest software The Champ enables the handling of multiple types of mixed-weight mail simultaneously. The Champ can process USPS rates including Priority Mail, First-Class Flats and Parcels, BPM Flats and Parcels, Standard Flats, Marketing and Non-Profit Parcels, Media Mail, Library Mail, and Parcel Select. With the MAXIMIZER tool, the Champ can generate large Priority Mail postage savings. The Champ s efficient processing capabilities are due to the patented differential weighing technology. This technology allows the operator to load up the scale platform with different sizes and weights of mail, and then determine the weight of individual pieces by removing one piece at a time from the scale. This system eliminates weight-based postage rating errors, while also increasing the overall speed of the mailing operation. The EZ-WorkDesk The EZ-WorkDesk s versatile approach provides a mail room application that is the most cost effective solution for rapid induction into the USPS package shipping network. The EZ-WorkDesk can process USPS rates including Priority Mail, First- Class Flats and First-Class Package Services, BPM Flats and Parcels, Standard Flats, Marketing and Non-Profit Parcels, Media Mail, Library Mail, and Parcel Select. The EZ-WorkDesk features IMpb compliance, an OCR, configurable Wide Area Bar Code Reader to capture up to five separate barcodes on a single package, and dimensioning which captures length, width, and height for USPS Cubic package and other dimensioning requirements. Leveraging its industry leading technology for reading mail piece information, the EZ-WorkDesk features best of class capability for collecting package information. It can process rates including Priority Mail, Cubic, First Class Packages, Bound Printed Matter Parcels, Parcel Select, Media Mail, and Library Mail. The EZ-WorkDesk s Presort manifesting upgrade capabilities include Parcel Select Lightweight, Bound Printed Matter Parcels, and First Class, Standard, and BPM Flats Rate Guide Engineering Innovation, Inc.

7 Scan-Print-Apply (SPA) The SPA system features a sorting methodology for processing mixedweight parcels in a single pass. The SPA system can process USPS rates including First-Class Package Services, Priority Mail, Commercial and Marketing Parcels, Bound Printed Matter Parcels, and Media and Library mail Parcels. The SPA system is a scalable solution with a direct upgrade path starting from the entry level Essential solution. The Essential solution features a small footprint, about 36 by 33, which allows it to be utilized in almost any processing situation. With a simple, straightforward design uncomplicated by moving parts, the Essential solution will process lower volume runs. The SPA Premium utilizes Dynamic Sort technology to expedite the finalization process. In addition to Dynamic Sort, the Premium solution automates sorting with conveyors and a label applicator. This automation enables a higher rate of processing Rate Guide Engineering Innovation, Inc. 7

8 EZ-Letters The EZ-Letters utilizes a sorting methodology for processing mixed-weight letters in a single pass or a multiple pass for even greater discounts. With a low cost of entry and a reduced space requirement, the EZ-Letters solution provides an efficient system that can process high volumes. With a throughput of 18,000 letters per hour, the multi-functional EZ-Letters solution is packed with features. It can OCR read and barcode letters for a discount or optionally sort for higher discounts. This versatile sorter can handle meter mail, permit mail, and manifest mail. More specifically, it processes First Class, Standard, Incoming, International, and Vote by Mail. In addition, the powerful and accurate OCR will allow you to process reject mail from other sorting equipment. EZ-Confirm EII has introduced an innovative way for mailers to automate processing Certified/ Accountable Mail. When you need to track your mail either by proof of delivery or by signature EZ-Confirm offers considerable savings of both time and money. Whether you are generating a small accountable mailing or producing a mailing with thousands of mail pieces, use this program to expedite both lightweight Accountable Mail plus any Priority Mail items. This web-based service provides impressive postage savings over traditional Certified Mail and much more over express carrier services. EZ-Confirm s online application streamlines the entire mailing process, enabling reduced overhead and enhanced tracking capabilities on all Accountable Mail. There are no annual subscription fees, no binding long-term contracts to sign, and no hardware or software to purchase Rate Guide Engineering Innovation, Inc.
