In all of our projects, we aim to nurture our environment, protect our heritage and work in harmony with our local communities We take great care to ensure we minimise impact on the landscape and that we act to protect local wildlife At each of our projects, our community engagement initiatives seek to ensure long-term employment for locals, during both construction and operation phases 5

6 Why we do it Tourism is a priority growth sector for the Omani economy. In 2009 it contributed 2.9% of GDP. By 2019, this is estimated to reach 9.9% of GDP Our projects will therefore help to create: Direct and indirect employment Income through foreign exchange Leisure and entertainment for local residents 6

13 Al Jabal Al Akhdar Hotel Project information A 5-star resort hotel (78 rooms), and 6 suites 2 Royal Villas Additional facilities: fitness centre, spa, swimming pool, business centre Located in the picturesque Jabal Al Akhdar region of the Hajar mountains 2,000-metre altitude ensures a perfect climate throughout the whole year Project status Master Plan and final design completed Final drawings to Tender Board for floating end of April Appointed the hotel operator Construction to begin 2011 Hotel to open in Q

15 City hotels Project information The project will replace the existing Intercontinental Hotel Muscat 5-star business hotel (250 rooms) 5-star resort hotel (250 rooms) Extended-stay hotel (100 rooms) Catering to the increasing numbers of business and tourist visitors 14 hectare beachfront plot, central to Diplomatic area, close proximity to Royal Opera House Project status Master Plan complete & approved A separate package for infrastructure is being prepared for tendering by the end of the year Appointed main consultant, and architectural and engineering consultant. Our partners include Orascom, Saraya and Dewoo Our investments include ITC projects at Jebel Sifah, Salalah Beach, As Sodah Island, Duqm Frontier Town and Saraya Bandar Jissah, amongst others 23
