1 $10,000 Survivor Series Official Rules Summary: The Canterbury Park Survivor Series Handicapping Contest is a six-round handicapping contest held at Canterbury Park. Entry is FREE and play begins on Saturday, September 13, 2008 through December 6, Players must qualify in each round to remain eligible and move on to the subsequent round. One entry per person. Any attempt to submit multiple entries or entries for patrons who are not present will result in disqualification. Only the player whose name is on the card, may submit the entry. Participants in the Canterbury Park Survivor Series Handicapping Contest must be at least 18 years of age. Entry deadlines for subsequent rounds are listed below but are subject to change. All qualified participants start each round even. No points carry forward from previous rounds. Contest Rules: Round One: September 13, 2008 Contest Track: Arlington Park Entry Deadline: First Post at Arlington Park $750 in cash prizes, plus top 1,000 and ties advance to Round Two One contest races. Arlington Park races will be used as the contest races. Points will be awarded as follows: (Rounds 1 5) Points will be awarded based on the official outcome of the race card at the selected racetrack. Points will be awarded each day of the contest. Players will be awarded the amount of points that equals the total dollar amount of the official mutuel return on their selections based on a mythical $20 across-the-board wager. For example: If a player s selection finishes first and the official mutuel results are as follows: $6.00 to win; $4.00 to place; $2.40 to show, the player will receive 124 points. If a player s selection finishes second and returns $15.00 to place and $8.80 to show, the player would receive 238 points. The maximum point payoffs per race for win, place, and show will be capped in the following manner. The maximum points possible for win will be 600 points, for place 400 points; and for show 200 points.

2 In the event of a scratch those picks will be replaced with the betting favorite. All qualified participants start each round even. No points carry forward from previous rounds. The 1,000 players with the most points (plus ties) will qualify for Round Two. Round One Prizes ($750): The player accumulating the most points will receive $200 + $100 Satellite The player with the second highest point total will receive $175 + $10 Satellite Third=$100 + $10 Satellite Fourth=$75 + $10 Satellite Fifth= $60 + $10 Satellite Round Two: Saturday, September 27, 2008 Contest Track: Turfway Park Entry Deadline: First Post at Turfway Park $750 in cash prizes, plus top 750 and ties advance to Round Three Two contest races. Turfway Park races will be used as the contest races. The 750 players with the most points (plus ties) will qualify for Round Three. Round Two Prizes ($750): The player accumulating the most points will receive $200 + $100 Satellite The player with the second highest point total will receive $175 + $10 Satellite Third=$100 + $10 Satellite Fourth=$75 + $10 Satellite Fifth= $60 + $10 Satellite Round Three: Saturday, October 11, 2008 Contest Track: Hawthorne Entry Deadline: First Post at Hawthorne $750 in cash prizes, plus top 500 and ties advance to Round 4 Three contest races. That day s Hawthorne races will be used as the contest races. The 500 players with the most points (plus ties) will qualify for Round Four. Round Three Prizes: ($750 total)

3 The player accumulating the most points will receive $200 + $100 Satellite The player with the second highest point total will receive $175 + $10 Satellite Third=$100 + $10 Satellite Fourth=$75 + $10 Satellite Fifth= $60 + $10 Satellite Round Four: Saturday, November 1, 2008 Contest Track: Churchill Downs Entry Deadline: First Post at Churchill Downs $750 in cash prizes, plus top 250 and ties advance to Round 5 Four contest races. That day s Churchill Downs races will be used as the contest races. The 250 players with the most points (plus ties) will qualify for Round Five. Round Four Prizes: ($750 total) The player accumulating the most points will receive $250. The player with the second highest point total will receive $200. Third=$150. Fourth=$100. Fifth= $50. Round Five: Saturday, November 22, 2008 Contest Track: Fair Grounds Entry Deadline: First Post at Fair Grounds $750 in cash prizes, plus top 50 and ties advance to the Final Round Five contest races. That day s Fair Grounds races will be used as the contest races. The 50 players with the most points (plus ties) will qualify for the Final Round. Round Five Prizes: ($750 total) The player accumulating the most points will receive $250. The player with the second highest point total will receive $200. Third=$150. Fourth=$100. Fifth= $50. Final Round: Saturday, December 6, 2008 Contest Track: TBD Play begins at 12:30PM. It is suggested that players arrive no later than noon.

4 Each of the 50 finalists will be given a $50 account wagering card to use for contest wagers. Each player must make five $5 Win/Place wagers on five races. Three of the races will be mandatory and all players must wager on those races. The other two races are player s choice but the races must be run and official no later than 2:30pm on December 6. The ten players (+ ties) with the largest bankrolls at 2:30pm survive and become eligible for prize money. Those ten players will be given two mandatory races on which they must wager. Each player must wager a minimum of $20 in each race or if they have less than $20 they must wager the entire bankroll. Any wager contained in the race is allowed but no serial wagers are permitted. After the second race is official, the players will be ranked by bankroll and paid as follows: Grand Prize: $1,000 Second Prize: $550 Third Prize: $500 Fourth Prize: $400 Fifth Prize: $350 Sixth: $300 Seventh: $250 Eighth: $200 Ninth: $150 Tenth: $50 All players also keep their final bankrolls. Ineligibility: No Purchase Necessary: Cancellation: Affidavits: Publicity: Taxes: The following people are ineligible to play: Canterbury Park employees, any person forbidden to play the horses at Canterbury Park and anyone under the age of 18. There is no charge to participate in the handicapping contest. Once entries are submitted patrons need not be present to win. Canterbury Park management reserves the right to cancel the tournament for any reason at any time. Canterbury Park assumes no liability for any unforeseen occurrence during the tournament. Canterbury Park reserves the right to interpret all questions and conditions regarding the tournament, without claim for damages or recourse of any kind. All questions regarding the tournament, which are not specifically listed under these rules, will be decided by Canterbury Management. Those decisions will be final. Affidavits confirming compliance with contest rules will be required of all winners. Any winner found to be in violation of contest rules will be considered ineligible. By entering, winner agrees to the use of his or her name and/or likeness for publicity and promotional purposes without additional compensation. All patrons with prize winnings over $600 are responsible for any taxes. Canterbury Park will send out a 1099 at the end of the year.

Handicapper of the Year Points: Canterbury Handicapper of the Year points will be awarded to the top three in round 1 through 5 (3 points to the winner, 2 to second, 1 to third) and in the Final Round: 5 points will be awarded to the overall champion; 3 to second; 2 to third.
