1 Piąta prezentacja grupy (Edycja 5) Theater Team Scenariusz przedstawienia teatralnego,,kot w butach,, Puss in Boots by Charles Perrault (April 2013) Stage design and prop: - Posters: a castle, a mill - A Rocking horse - A big carriage - Blue material as water with paper fish - Paper sun, flowers, trees, mushrooms, grass - A rabbit - A rake, a shovel - Costumes for actors and a narrator - cardboard presents - pictures of rabbits - Jelly mouse - Sweets for audience - A CD with sounds of splashing water, yelling lion and magic SCENE 1 This is where our story starts inside a little mill. The miller asks to see his sons because he s really ill. I m dying sons, there s not much time but what I have is yours. William, you re the oldest, so the mill is yours, of course. William: Thank you father! George, you take the horse don t let it too fat! George: Thank you! And Tom, my son, the youngest, you can have my cat! I know my father loves me. I m very sure of that. But I need food and money, and not a silly cat!

2 The cat looks up at Tom and says, I m not a silly cat! Please bring me a pair of boots and I need a coat and a hat! What a clever cat you are to talk to me like that! I m going to call you Puss in Boots. That s a good name for a cat! SONG: The Father s Gift : Oh, poor young Tom! What can you do? You ve just got a cat. It s not much, it s true. But, look! It speaks! It wants a hat, A coat and red boots! What a strange cat! Your father s gift looks very small. But soon you will see it s not small at all! SCENE 2 Puss takes a sack into the woods and gets a little rabbit. And then he takes it to the King, who is very pleased to have it. It s from the Prince of Carabas. He caught it in the woods. King: I want to thank him for his gift and tell him that it s good! Puss goes back to his master and then he says to him, It s such a lovely sunny day! Why don t you have a swim? (Tom s weaing a swimming mask and jumping into the water blue material; the sound of water)

3 While Tom is in the river, Puss takes his clothes away and then he runs along the road, where the King is on his way. (Screaming) Someone stole my master s clothes! We need your help today! He doesn t have a thing to wear they took them all away! King: Please give him these, The good King says, and now Tom s clothes are new. Then Alice asks her father, Alice: Can the Prince come with us, too? And now the clever little cat has got a clever plan. He knows about a castle with an ogre a giant man! I can get that castle - and make Tom rich today! He sees some farmers working. They are cutting down the hay. I d like you to say something to the Princess and the King. And then I promise to help you with the giant - and everything. So when the farmers see the King, they all bow down and say, Farmers: We work for the Prince of Carabas and we wish you a good day! SONG: Puss in Boots! Puss is clever, it is true. And now he s got a plan. He wants to help his master And make him a rich man.

4 Chorus: First he goes to see the King and gives him a fat rabbit. He tells him it s a present. Puss in Boots! Puss in Boots! Red boots, a coat and hat! Puss in Boots! Puss in Boots! What a clever cat! The king so pleased to have it! SCENE 3 Clever Puss goes to the castle and says to the giant mas, Can you turn into an animal? I don t think you can! Ogre: I can turn into an animal, or anything at all. And the ogre turns into a lion, right there inside the hall! ( the magic sound and the ogre s putting a lion s mask on his face, then the sound of yelling lion) A lion is good. It s big and strong. But a mouse is best of all! It s easy to be something big, but hard to be so small. The giant turns into a mouse, and runs along the floor. Puss catches it and kills it, then waits outside the door. ( the magic sound and the ogre s running away leaving a little jelly mouse. Puss s eating the mouse) Soon Puss sees the King approach and waves for him to wait. Tom is shocked to see his cat standing at the gate. This is my master s castle. He s very rich, you see.

5 And then Tom turns to Alice and gets down on one knee. I want to be your husband. Will you be my wife? You re the woman that I want to be with all my life. And so we end our story with a wedding yes, it s true! And everyone is happy, because of Puss in Boots! SONG: Presents! When you get a present, Be happy! Say thank you! Any present, big or small, is good and that is true! Chorus: Tom thought Puss was silly but he was wrong, you see. Presents are all special even if they re small. We get them out of love - the nicest gift of all! Now he s rich because of Puss And as happy as can be! Repeat chorus x2
