Mobile Solution Architects with proven experience in delivering native, web and hybrid solutions to mobile devices. Get help in making decisions about development tools, designing appropriate solutions for the business problem and positioning for future developments in mobile technologies User Experience Design Atos UXD specialists will help capture the requirements of users and create designs that are appropriate to the users, devices being used and the environment in which they will be used Skilled and experienced mobile developer teams using Agile development methodologies will help and guide the development process, ensuring maximum benefit from the services and capabilities of the chosen devices Mobile application testing services, for both Atos and customer developed applications. Atos can provide a cloud based testing environment to check usability, off line / on line synchronisation, performance and load testing to reduce costs in creating an appropriate infrastructure and delivery time for a new application What makes us unique? Atos is a key supplier to the Public Sector, delivering wide ranging and secure systems in major customers like DWP, HMRC, MOJ and DoH. In many cases Atos is already developing mobile solutions that collect, integrate and deliver critical information through mobile devices. As such we are uniquely placed to understand the requirements of the Public Sector market and to recommend the most appropriate methods and tools. Enabling Strategy Whether coming to mobile from a strategic direction or a tactical decision to employ digital devices, the Atos Mobile Solutions Development Service will help identify and develop an appropriate design and adoption plan for the implementation and use of mobile devices and applications. Embarking on a mobile strategy can be a daunting task, particularly given the rapid changes in the industry, where devices and capabilities can be upgraded or changed, wholesale, in less than eighteen months. The service will describe and explain the current and future trends that should influence mobile strategy, particularly in respect to alignment with wider business goals and integration with existing networks, business processes and practices. The service will help identify the technology adoption and training process required to make maximum benefit from the move to mobile. Meeting Business & User Needs A decision to provide mobile devices to employees for improved business efficiency requires a carefully considered evaluation of the business needs, the skill levels of the users and the conditions in which the devices will be used. Everything from screen size, data capture methods required, connectivity to 3G/4G or Wi-Fi, information security and the circumstances in which the devices are used will all need to be considered. For example a mobile care worker may need to take notes on a form that cannot be managed through a tick box approach. They may frequently operate in areas without connectivity and compliance with legal requirements could require security of the information on the device through encryption. The service will run through the user scenarios identifying the various elements required to meet all of these needs. iii

Sound design is crucial in ensuring the take up and use of new mobile applications. Through the use of tools such as interactive wireframes, and storyboards, customers can quickly test the fit of an application and the likely acceptance by the user community before development commences, saving time and money. Atos can offer a review service for customer developed applications, testing them out in Atos Inclusive User Experience (IUX) lab facility. Please refer to Atos Inclusive User Experience and Solution Architecture and Design Services for further details on Atos approach. Bring Your Own Device / Choose Your Own Device The growth of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) potentially helps reduce costs as users provide mobile devices at their own cost, while Choose Your Own Device (CYOD) simplifies the delivery platforms and support requirements. The question is how to provide suitable services to a wide range of devices and ensure security of the organisation s data whether in flight, or at rest. There are marked differences between the way different devices and operating systems manage or store data and in the various methods used to control them. Atos can help implement suitable Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) services, whether on premise or cloud based as a service, reducing cost. Mobile Application Development Mobile Application Development can follow a number of paths. Whether to develop for native (ios, Android, Windows 8 or Blackberry) applications, create mobile (device aware) web applications or a hybrid development of the two is one set of considerations. In order to support multiple device types it may be that a Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (MEAP), such as SAP s Unwired Platform, Kony or Pega s AMP Chroma is the way forward or that the increasing development of HTML5 applications is most suitable. As part of the service Atos can identify the pros and cons of each approach including the future impact on support of the applications. Atos have the capability to develop customized middleware and applications to support a customer s information systems connectivity to ERP, CRM, CMS, Host, etc. This experience includes SAP, Oracle and Microsoft for which Atos has specific practice support and global level partnerships. This helps to reduce the time and cost of integrating these services into the new mobile landscape. Atos Mobile Solutions Development projects are typically delivered using Agile development techniques, including the use of Scrum development methodologies, Test Driven Development and Rapid Requirements Analysis. Please refer to the Atos Solution Software Development Service for further details of Atos software application development offering. Development & Runtime Platforms Atos both operate and develop on a number of development and runtime platforms including: Net Open Source (Linux) Azure Java J2EE, JEE5 SAP NetWeaver Oracle Fusion iv

The service will: Help understand the current trends, the technology leaders in mobile devices and software or to develop a strategy to move to mobile Provide guidance on adopting a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) strategy for smartphones and tablets. 14 4. Backup/restore and disaster recovery Normal backup/restore and disaster recovery arrangements are in place on Atosowned infrastructure. Where client-owned infrastructure is used, Atos usually rely on the client s own arrangements but can quote for special arrangements. 7

5. On-boarding and off-boarding 5.1 On-boarding As part of Atos initiation phase, Atos would normally seek to arrange a workshop to ensure that Atos are clear on the scope of the engagement. Atos also seek to establish a collaboration portal on Atos (or a customer s) network so that Atos may exchange information and track progress throughout the engagement. Atos can provide, for instance, Mobile Device Management (MDM as a Service (MDMaaS) for integration into a customer s existing infrastructure. Atos can provide training in the tools and techniques staff will need, if required. The complexity and effort will be driven by the perceived duration and needs of the planned work. 5.2 Off-boarding As part of Atos completion phase, Atos would normally seek to arrange a workshop to transition Atos learning and final report to the customer s team. This will include transitioning all of the work products from Atos collaboration portal to clearly explain how Atos reached Atos conclusions. Any models and data that Atos have used will be transitioned (assuming that such transition is permitted by any licenses Atos have purchased/used). Should a customer decide to de-commission the Atos Mobile Development Service, the process is smooth and can be done gradually if needed to ensure a smooth transition. 5.3 Time for provisioning/de-provisioning The elapsed minimum time for provisioning is typically one month but can be brought forward under certain circumstances. 8

6. Pricing The service is delivered according to the specific needs of each engagement. Atos pricing is based on per day rate cards aligned to the SFIA job definitions and separate rates exist for onshore and offshore rates. Please refer to the SFIA rate card - Atos (On & Offshore) for the standard rates for this service. The primary roles which are engaged in delivering this service are: Role SFIA Level Mapping Mobile developer / tester 2-3 Analyst / User Experience / Designer 4 Project manager / Mobile Architect 5-6 9

7. Service management Atos Mobile Application Development services normally operate within an overall project management context. The development of training and training materials for the use of the digital service is a key element of Atos service development lifecycle Training Services Atos Training Services are designed with Atos customers business goals in mind. Atos work closely with Atos customers from the outset of a training requirement to understand the reasons for the training and the expected business benefits. Understanding the organisation, strategies, objectives and goals is critical to the overall success of the training solution. This enables us to design and implement focused learning solutions that take into account the culture, business environment and the impact of the changes. Atos also believe that a well-designed and intuitive solution requires less training: saving both time and money. Effective training is an integral part of the overall solution and without it the anticipated return on investment is unlikely to be realised. Atos approach ensures Atos solution builds awareness, knowledge and understanding. This improves ownership and commitment, increasing the user s confidence in and enthusiasm for the new working practices. Atos solutions have to be fit for purpose, and Atos adopt an innovative and flexible approach to deliver training programmes to address a customer s requirements.
