In energetic collisions of Au ions a strongly interacting quark-gluon plasma is created, with surprising properties: the perfect fluid of quarks was discovered in the US at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) and confirmed in the ALICE, ATLAS and CMS experiments at LHC (CERN, Geneva, Switzerland).
