2 makekansashome.com What do you get when you mix the emotional appeal of a television spot, the reach and interactive power of the Internet, and combine it with the word-of-mouth persuasion of family and friends? We call it a unique, multi-media approach to economic development! The makekansashome.com campaign targets young families currently living outside Kansas, who are yearning to return to the OPEN Roads, and safe, secure quality of life we enjoy and often take for granted. 7 Arms Rural Telephone and Nex-Tech Driven To Provide State-Of-The-Art Technologies To Rural Kansans Why? Because Kansas is home! Forty years ago, state-of-the art telecommunications meant single party dial telephone service. With the development and deployment of fiber optics, and the explosion of the Internet, wide area networking, and Digital TV, that definition has changed. The cable that connects customers must provide more than POTS (plain old telephone service). As a result, Rural Telephone/Nex-Tech is bringing advanced, state-ofthe-art broadband services to its customers by way of fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP), wireless, satellite, mobile wireless and various other fiber technologies. Rural Telephone and Nex-Tech Deploying fiberto-the-premise technology in our current and future construction projects. Offering broadband services to residents of central and western Kansas. Bringing voice, video and data through multiple technologies to remote regions.
8 Talk about the virtual office. Thanks to advanced telecommunication services from Rural Telephone/Nex-Tech, this fifth generation Kansas farmer can respond to global information, and manage his operation on the fly in a way that would make grandpa truly proud! With state-of-the-art voice and data services from Rural Telephone/ Nex-Tech, these legal eagles meet the demands of their east coast corporate clients, while providing a safe, secure quality of life for their young families in western Kansas. Nex-Tech s Lightning Jack High-Speed Internet allows this experienced nurse to pursue her Master s Degree through Fort Hays State University s Virtual College while still working as a full-time RN at the local hospital. Advanced video solutions are available today via Nex-Tech s advanced fiber-based network. Digital video, video-on-demand, high definition and local content provide an incomparable viewing experience and NO satellite dishes to clutter the pristine prairie landscape! Bundled communication services from Rural Telephone/Nex-Tech are just what the doctor ordered to help this stay-at-home mom run an active household and a medical transcription business. Rural Telephone is committed to state-of-the-art voice technology. Our upgrade strategy involves fiber to the premise (FTTP) technology for unsurpassed clarity and capacity. Custom calling features provide control, convenience and security for residential and business customers alike.
9 Opportunities More Than Telecommunications We take pride in helping people realize their dreams! Superior Financial Guidance Business is a game of numbers, heavily reliant on statistics, strategic planning and financial backing. The Rural Telephone/ Nex-Tech economic development staff assist with loan and grant applications for medical, educational, business and housing entities. Friendly, Personal Staff From A Name You Can Trust Rural Telephone/Nex-Tech s economic development staff promote networking opportunities and business partnerships between federal, state and local agencies.
