2 ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE: Dean, College of Human Environmental Sciences, Spring 2003-present Chief academic officer for the College of HES with oversight over all academic programs and activities of the college. Reporting directly to the Provost and Executive Vice-President for Academic Affairs. Responsible for all academic and administrative functions of the College. The College has 71 full time faculty, 28 adjunct faculty, and 101 staff members. HES is comprised of five departments, 10 undergraduate programs, masters degree programs in each department, and a Ph.D. in Health Education and Health Promotion and has a record of continuous growth since the fall 1983 semester. As Dean I have provided leadership for the following selected accomplishments: Total enrollment has grown from 1,716 to 2,926, a 70.5% increase. Undergraduate enrollment growth from 1,456 to 2,477 and graduate enrollment from 260 to 449. Distance learning degrees in six undergraduate majors and three graduate programs and two graduate certificate programs. Enrollment increases in HES courses taught online from 779 in the fall 2005 to 2,118 in the fall 2010, an increase of 272%. Endowments have increased. HES has raised $8,077,706 in actual gifts, pledges, or bequests and has received pledges totaling $6,587,500 for a total of $14,665,206. External funding submissions have increased. Programs specifically focused on developing leadership, research, and community service skills in undergraduate students developed. Among these is the Crenshaw Leadership Academy held each spring semester. 4 Chair, Department of Consumer Sciences - Fall 1990 to present The Department of Consumer Sciences (CSM) is composed of 10 faculty with an enrollment of 188 undergraduate and 31 graduate students. Undergraduate and masters programs in consumer economics and family financial planning and counseling are offered. When I was named Department Chair, CSM had three faculty members and an enrollment of 5 undergraduate and 1 graduate student. I was given the mandate to increase enrollment so that the department would be viable. Under my leadership enrollment increased to 44 within 2 years. Other selected accomplishments that have occurred under my leadership include: Developed and implemented a comprehensive curriculum review of baccalaureate, and graduate programs in the area of family financial planning and counseling programs nationally. Proposed and had accepted the curriculum for family financial planning and counseling at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Received and maintained national registration status for financial planning programs. Coordinated Institutes on Financial Literacy and on Technology for secondary Family and Consumer Sciences teachers. Purchased the first microcomputer in the College of Human Environmental Sciences. Developed the first class using the microcomputer in the college. Chaired the faculty committee to develop plans for the HES Computer Laboratory. Served as Director of Computing in HES from implementation until a full-time director was hired in Currently, there are four computer laboratories in the college and close to 400 computers in the college, including faculty and staff computers, laboratories, and research laboratories. 4

5 Associate Dean, College of Human Environmental Sciences, Fall Spring 2003 Assistant Dean, College of Human Environmental Sciences, Fall 2002 I was the sole assistant/associate dean in HES from 1993 to I directed the Office of Student Services and until 1998 served as advisor and registrar for the College. I recruited for the College including extensive marketing to community college advisors. Selected accomplishments that occurred under my leadership include: Developed procedures for the evaluation and award of credit for prior learning Proposed the undergraduate majors in General Studies in HES and Restaurant, Hotel, and Meetings Management for inclusion in the earmy U program. Developed and implemented procedures required by the military to offer these programs through earmy U. These two programs were accepted and were the first two on the UA campus to be included. Supervised and mentored university graduate students seeking teaching licensure in the area of Family and Consumer Sciences.
