3 Bridging programme The bridging programme is a preparatory programme for the MSc Aerospace Engineering. The major objectives of the bridging programme Aerospace Engineering are the development of skills in mathematics and mechanics and aerospace engineering to an academic bachelor level and the skills of thinking and working in models. The bridging programme is primarily meant for HTO students. Within the bridging programme we distinguish two different programmes: the bridging class and the bridging minor. The bridging class and the bridging programme coincide. The bridging class has to be completed before one can start the MSc. The bridging minor though forms only part of the bridging programme, the remaining part (convergence programme) has to be done as part of the MSc programme. Below the specific regulations for the bridging class and the bridging minor are listed. For the general regulations the Teaching and Education Regulations BSc Aerospace Engineering can be consulted.

4 A. Bridging Class Article A1 - Admission to the bridging class The bridging class is open to: Students who hold a B. Eng. degree in Aeronautics (Luchtvaarttechnologie) from Hogeschool InHolland or a B. Eng. degree in Aviation or Engineering, Design and Innovation from Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA). Students who hold a B. Eng. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Engineering or Civil Engineering. Furthermore, the TU Delft entrance requirements for HTO students apply: hbodoorstroom.tudelft.nl Article A2 - The study load The study load for the Bridging Class is 47 credits. 5 Article A4 - Pass/fail regulation The student meets the requirements for the bridging class once the following have been met: a result has been earned for all subjects: a mark, a pass (v) or an exemption (vr); none of the final marks may be lower than 6 the courses of the bridging class are NOT part of any module, so there is NO compensation for these courses, except for course AE2220-I and AE2220-II. Article A5 - Certificate 1. A certificate will be issued by or on behalf of the Board of Examiners as evidence that the bridging class has been completed. 2. A transcript containing the results achieved will be provided when the certificate for the bridging class is issued. Article A6 - Admission to the Master programme Aerospace Engineering After successfully completing the bridging class the student is eligible for the MSc Aerospace Engineering. Article A7 Composition of the master programme 1. For the composition of the MSc see www. studyguide.tudelft.nl 2. Internship: Students who completed the Bridging class are exempted from the internship in the master programme. 3. Depending on the Master Track some additional (bachelor) courses may be required in addition to the bridging class. These courses have to be followed as part of the elective courses in the master programme and are defined in consultation with the Master Track Coordinator.

Bridging Minor Article B1 - Admission to the Bridging Minor The Bridging minor is open to: Selected students from the Aeronautics programme of Hogeschool InHolland and from the Aviation programme of Hogeschool van Amsterdam who have completed the first two years of the study programme at the respective institute. Note: The Board of Examiners of the Institute of Higher Education (InHolland, HvA) admits the student to the Bridging Minor on the basis of study progress and results. Furthermore the TU Delft entrance requirements apply: hbodoorstroom.tudelft.nl Article B2 - The study load The study load for the Bridging Minor is at least 30 credits. Article B3 - Composition of the Bridging minor The Bridging Minor is at least 30 EC and exists of the five mathematics courses and at least three other courses of the bridging programme. This part of the programme is immersed in the third and/or fourth study years of the programme at the Institute of Higher Professional Education. This convergence programme exists of the remaining courses of the Bridging programme. 3. Depending on the Master Track some additional (bachelor) courses may be required in addition to the bridging programme. These courses have to be followed as part of the elective courses in the master programme and are defined in consultation with the Master Track Coordinator.
