2 1. PACKET PICK-UP Please PRINT OUT YOUR CONFIRMATION and hand it in to registration desks on your arrival. Can t find it? Try searching You're registered for Run or Dye! in your inbox or search your junk folders. What does my confirmation look like? Before you run you need to pick up your race number and swag bag! Here are a few reminders about your packet pick up: You must have signed your waiver electronically before you can pick up your packet. If you haven t signed it yet, please do so by signing into your My Active account HERE. You can also find this link at the bottom of your confirmation . You may pick up packets on behalf of your family, friends or teammates but be sure they have signed their waivers first! If you are under the age of 18 you MUST have a parent or guardian sign your electronic waiver online before the day of the event. Prepare for queues at the packet pick up tents. Look out for our GREEN FLAGS marked registration you won t miss them! Date / Time Packet Pick Up: Packet Pick-Up / Registration will take place from 8AM 9:30AM on Saturday 5 TH September. Please make sure you arrive in plenty of time as there may be queues to pick up your packet. 2

3 2. VENUE & COURSE Please respect the facilities. We ask that you throw away empty DYE packets, tattoo packets, water bottles and other trash in the bins provided and make sure that others do the same! Remember: NO PETS are allowed on the course and it is not permitted for DYE to be taken off the premises. Spectators are not permitted to bring Dogs. TERRAIN The run is around the L hippodrome de Chantilly grounds, so please expect the terrain to be undulating and the sights to be stunning! CAMPING There is camping available for this event on Friday 4 th September. A standard camping pitch for a tent housing 2 people costs 22. An extra person costs 8 (each). Caravan/Campervan pitches are also available for 27. You can pay for this in advance by logging into your myactive account the link for this can be found at the bottom of your confirmation or on the previous page! The course will be signed with arrows so there s no way you ll get lost! There will be a water station on course as well as DYE stations to get you as multicoloured as possible (as you can see marked on the map!) 3

4 3. GETTING TO L HIPPODROME By Car Chantilly is less than one hour from Paris and 2 1/2hours from Calais Eurotunnel. Autoroute du Nord (A1): From Paris to Calais: Chantilly exit. From Lille: Survilliers exit or take the RN 16 or RN Coming south on the D1016, follow this road into Chantilly and turn left with the pharmacie on the corner towards le chateau down a one way street. Then, turn right at the crossroads and the l hippodrome will be straight ahead. (If you re coming north on the D1016 then it s right at the pharmacie and then follow on from there). - If you re coming east on the D44, turn right at the roundabout onto the D1016 sign posted for Chantilly and Paris and then follow the directions as if you were coming south on the D If you re heading north on the D924A, follow this road until you come to a flat, cobbled stone roundabout at which the exit that is straight over leads into l hippodrome. - Finally, if you re heading west on the D924, turn left at the roundabout signposted for Chantilly and Le Chateau. At the end of this road, turn right at the T-junction and then straight over the first crossroads (even though it is signposted left to l hippodrome) and left at the second crossroads. The l hippodrome will be straight ahead. Parking We have a large amount of parking on site, but please arrive early to avoid queuing. Marshals will direct you to the Run or Dye car park. << Follow the CAR PARK signs to get to Run or Dye! Public Transport By train: Paris-Chantilly: From the Gare du Nord (27 minutes). Train timetables are available through: From Chantilly Station to the Château: Taxi from the station (cost: about 6 ). Cariane coach for Senlis (free in Chantilly): departure from the bus station. Alternatively walking to the Château from the station should take about 35 minutes. 4

5 13:00 12:30 11:00 10:20 10:00 09:30 08:00 L'HIPPODROME 4. EVENT DAY INFORMATION START TIME DON T BE LATE! DYE Runners racing the rainbow will be sent in waves every 3 minutes. The waves will start at 10:00AM and end at 10.20AM - Please don t be late! Runners are sent on a first come first serve basis so plan your morning accordingly. If you are planning on doing more walking or dancing than running rather than aiming for a PB, please join a later wave and let the faster runners set off first. COURSE AND COLOUR STATIONS Every 1KM you ll run, walk and dance through our DYE Stations. Our highly trained DYE Crew will be ready to administer Random Acts of DYE (they ll be throwing colour all over you!) If you d rather dance, walk or jog slowly, no problem just join the back of the start queue. Remember, the race isn t timed, and this isn t a competition! DYE FESTIVAL At the end of the course, head over to the stage for the DYE Festival. MC Sam will be blasting more DYE out with music and colour so you can dance, party, play...and of course throw tons of colour all over your family and friends! You get a free colour packet as part of your pre-race swag and there s plenty more to buy at the Run or DYE swag store. SWAG STORE Our SWAG STORE will be open all day selling OFFICIAL Run or DYE merchandise! Grab yourself some extra DYE or a clean t-shirt at the end of the day! BAG DROP 2 There will be a bag drop-off point situated in the event village. There will be a charge of 2 per item for those wishing to use this service. EVENT DAY SCHEDULE: PACKET PICK UP OPENS! You will need to pick up your packet before you can run. This begins on site at 8:00AM. Come early, there may be queues! PRE RUN FESTIVAL KICKS OFF! Don t forget to stop by our store before the race! We ve got awesome swag and of course TONS of DYE! THE RUN BEGINS! Runners are sent on a first come first serve basis! Get to the chute by 10:00AM. The last wave is sent around 10:20AM LAST WAVE OF DYE RUNNERS SENT THE DYE FESTIVAL STARTS! THE DYE FESTIVAL ENDS THE SITE CLOSES: We all head home, and check out how fab we look in our photos reliving our Run or DYE experience! 5

6 5. GENERAL INFORMATION SAFETY WHAT TO WEAR At Run or DYE you re the canvas so wear whatever you want! Lots of runners wear white to show off all the colour while others come dressed in crazy costumes. Just remember, whatever you wear will get covered in coloured DYE and while our DYE is designed to be washable, we don t do your laundry. So wear something you don t mind getting a little colourful! PHOTO POLICY We want you to make memories and take pictures! Your smartphones and point and shoot cameras are welcome! There will also be professional photographers on the course so remember to smile at the camera! Want to find your totally awesome photos taken by our camera crew? Just follow the steps below! FIND YOUR PHOTOS! 1. WEAR YOUR RACE NUMBER ON THE FRONT OF YOUR TSHIRT DURING THE RACE 2. FIND AN OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHER TO TAKE YOUR PHOTO! (TRY TO GET YOUR RACE NUMBER IN THE PHOTO) 3. KEEP/REMEMBER YOUR RACE NUMBER 4. GO TO 5. SEARCH BY YOUR RACE NUMBER AND PURCHASE YOUR PHOTOS! 1. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER: Be sure to drink plenty of water before, during and after the race. Runners receive a drink at the finish line, but we strongly suggest that you bring your own to stay hydrated before and during the event as well. 2. USE COMMON SENSE WHEN THROWING DYE: Don t throw DYE directly in peoples faces, don t throw DYE at babies or at service animals and don t throw DYE at photographers with expensive equipment. If you see anyone throwing DYE inappropriately please report it to a member of staff. 3. REPORT SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR OR PEOPLE WHO LOOK LIKE THEY NEED ASSISTANCE: Run or DYE participants are the best on the planet and we ve never had any problems at any of our events. Still, if you see anyone acting suspiciously or endangering others please report it to a volunteer or staff member. If you happen to run past someone who seems to be struggling or appear they need medical assistance, let a volunteer know so that we can get them the help they might need. 4. DO NOT LEAVE BAGS UNATTENDED: Any bags left unattended will be immediately confiscated by event security! WEATHER We will hold Run or DYE as scheduled even if it is raining! However, our first priority is your safety and there may be occasions such as high wind or lightening- that will postpone the run. If the weather looks threatening as we lead up to the event, keep your eyes on our Facebook page and your for updates. 6

7 6. CHARITIES Run or DYE is committed to leaving the world a more colourful place. We would not be a success without the help of our charity partners who provide a small army of marshals and we would both welcome your support. LOCAL CHARITY PARTNER ST PETER'S CHURCH, CHANTILLY In 1973, the Intercontinental Church Society renewed their patronage of St. Peter s Church. The Society appointed four full- time chaplains in succession to look after the English- speaking community. The numerous plaques on the interior walls of the church bear witness to generations of British and Irish families who have made their home in Chantilly. A new building, completed in December 1992, constructed next to the church, was financed by donations and serves as the chaplain s home, a community hall and a library. Today there are some 350 Anglophone families of many different nationalities living in Chantilly and its neighbouring towns and villages. Since 2009, thanks to various initiatives (golf tournaments, Twickenham/Chantilly Bike Ride, concerts) and donations, the first 3 phases of restoration have been carried out: a new drainage system, modernised heating to meet regulations, the roofing and interior of the church. Now the restoration needs to be completed with, as a priority, phase 4 then phase 5. 7
