Riccardo Pierini Customer Care - Yankee Dryer Service Engineer, Toscotec SpA Italy Both during his years of university studies as well as after completion, Riccardo has worked for several chemical industries and paper manufacturing companies. After joining Toscotec he has been involved in the Tissue division from the beginning of his activity, in particular in the Service Department as Customer Care Yankee Dryer Service Engineer. Currently he carries out the Services on the Toscotec Steel Yankee Dryers worldwide. He is in charge of the field checks on the Yankee Dryer and during his job carries out internal inspection, structural checks and NDE, metallization inspection, chemical analysis especially regarding the steam and condensate plant, etc., but doesn t neglect to carry out technical surveys in all the Dry-end section. During his experience in these years has encountered the most common problems occurring in the Dry-end area (e.g. chatter-marks, organic coating problem, soda straws plugging, presses, hoods and doctoring problems, etc.) as well as was involved in the troubleshooting. In parallel with his Customer Care job, supports the Sales Department from the technical side and sometimes is involved in speeches and conferences focused on Yankee Dryer.
