2 1 The Revelation Package (herein after referred to as "the Package") is protected by both South African Copyright law and International Treaty Provisions. Revelation Accounting Software authorises you to make backup copies of the Package for the sole purpose of protecting your investment. The Package may be used by any number of people and may be freely moved from one computer location to another, provided there is no possibility of it being used by two different people in two different places at the same time (unless on the same Local Area Network) as this will constitute a violation of the Copyright Licence. WARRANTY With respect to the physical diskette and physical documentation enclosed herein, Revelation Accounting Software warrants the same to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase. 4 3 1 Introduction This module allows you to Purchase and Sell Glass & Aluminium (and other Sheet based items) per square meter or per sheet. If a client requires you to cut from a sheet, you will be prompted for the Sizes as well as, if the Cut Sheets were cut from Off-cuts or from a Full Sheet. If a Full sheet is used, the full sheet is then removed from stock and moved to the Off-cut stock (which is a Service Item - no Stock holding). The Invoice is then also printed as a Square meter price with the amount of Pieces invoiced. To calculate Sqm Pricing, the system simply takes the Excl.Selling Price and, using the L x B in the Ext.Descrip line, it works out the Price per Sqm on the fly. 2 Installing the Glass & Aluminium Module. The Glass & Aluminium Module comes in a Zip file format. You can use windows built-in Zip Program or a 3rd party software application like WinRAR or WinZip to extract the files into a folder To extract the files simply create a new folder and place the zip file into it. Right click on the zip file and choose the extract here option. Once the files have been extracted, run the Setup.exe file. Warning! Make sure all the Terminal on the network are logged out before you carry on with the installation The installation Window will now open. Click on [Install]. If this is an exisitng installtion that you would like to update, click on the [Update] button rather.

5 4 A Warning will come up stating that all other terminals on the network should be logged out. Warning! If any other Terminals are logged into Revelation during the installation process it could possibly cause Database Corruption as new fields need to be added to the Database table. You will be Prompted for which Version of Revelation you would like to install the Add-On Module. Select the version that is installed in your orginisation and then click the [OK] button. The installtion will now comence. In our Example below we have selected the Enterprise edition.

6 5 The next window will prompt for the destination path. Unless you have changed the location just click on the [OK] button. If you have changed the location where you initially installed Revelation, then you have to input the Revelation destination path. To continue, click the [OK] button. Once the Installation is complete, a confirmation message will appear. To finish, click the [OK] button.

7 6 3 Setup Once the Module has been installed, you will have to create the Stock codes that will drive the system. The System allows you to either sell full sheets and Off-cut sheets that were either cut from other Off-Cuts or from Full Sheets. These Stock codes have to be linked to each other. The way to link these codes is to Create 2 Codes for the same item. The first item must be the Full Sheet code. The 2 nd is for the Off-Cut sheets and HAS TO HAVE an A an the end of the code It is imperative that the 2 nd (Off-Cut) code MUST be a SERVICE item. The secret of the system is the Extended Description. The Main and Off-Cut sheets must contain the Length x Breath. Please Note: As part of the installation, Revelation will also install 2 additional.ini files (sheetstock.ini & AlignExtDescrip.ini). These files are critical for this module to work. Make sure that they are present on the FILE SERVER. 4 Quotes/Sales Orders The system is driven by PRO FORMA invoice as a QUOTE. First create a PRO FORMA Invoice as Quotes. You then import the PRO FORMA into the Invoice, once the quote has been excepted. Sales Orders have not been catered for at this stage.

8 7 5 Purchase Order When you order a Sheet stock item, it pops up a window prompting you for the Number of Sheets being ordered (Quantity) and the TOTAL Price for ALL sheets. It then works out the Price per Sheet as well as the Price per Sqm. The Purchase Order document layout is very similar to the Invoice layout. The COST per Sqm is worked out the same way in the Purchase Order module. The Sqm Pricing will now be displayed under the Stock Master record. The Price per Sqm display is activated by an ini file: SheetStock.ini which must be in the Rev folder ON THE FILE SERVER. 6 GRN For now, no special GRN module was created. Simply create a PURCHASE ORDER for the items on the GRN and then import the Purchase Order into the GRN 7 Invoicing When invoicing a sheet, the system will function as normal. Simply select the item and then insert the amount of sheets sold. The Invoice will then translate the Sheet s Price into a Square meter Price. When invoicing a Cut Sheet, select the A Product (e.g. 373A). You will now be prompted for the Length and Breadth of the item.

9 8 Once insereted, you will be prompted for the Square Meter Pricing of the sheet. The default will be the same as the Sheet Pricing. Simply enter if you do not want to change the pricing. The last option is to select if the Cut sheet came from another OFF-Cut or was cut from a New sheet. If so, the sheet will be removed from the on-hand of the main sheet. 8 Stock Pricing Updates The option to Increase Price per Sqm by stock category is included in the default Stock Master File Updates module as well (also activated by SheetStock.ini ). You simply select the Amend Prices in a range of items option and select the Selling Prices... option.
