2 The Range The Sepura STP9000 series of hand-portable radios inherits all the market-leading attributes of the flagship Sepura STP8000 series, but fuses them with a new generation of highly innovative features and takes the TETRA handportable market to an even higher level. The STP9000 series is, like all Sepura solutions, designed with the user in mind. Built to withstand the harshest environments, yet offering a feature-set unrivalled in the TETRA market, the STP9000 truly sets a totally new standard for mission-critical hand-portable radios. STP9100 hand-portable The STP9100 is designed for users who require many of the key advantages of the STP9000 range, but typically need to perform only a limited range of tasks using their radio. STP9200 hand-portable The STP9200 shares the vast majority of the core benefits of the flagship STP9000 model, including the IP67 rating, but is targeted at users who are seeking an entrylevel model. Key benefits of the STP9000 range include: Robustness With its IP67 rating, the STP9000 series can withstand submersion in up to 1m of water for up to 30 minutes and can also keep out fine dust particles - a truly robust radio that will ensure that radio communication is not compromised in almost any environment or set of conditions. This makes the STP9000 range attractive to users in the mining or fire and rescue sectors, who operate almost constantly in harsh environments, and also to others, in sectors such as police, ambulance, utilities or oil and gas, who have occasional and often unpredictable need to operate in very wet or dusty conditions. The STP9000 series market-leading robustness is enhanced still further by its unique connector protector technology, which provides protection for the facility accessory connector on the radio against the effects of salt water and salt fog exposure a key advantage for a number of users, such as coastguards and marine patrol units. Ease of use Ensuring that users around the world can access the STP9000 series many market-leading features is critical. As a result of a comprehensive worldwide survey, an enhanced and intuitive user interface has been created. This offers three presentation styles to the user. Card mode is 100% compatible with Sepura s existing user interface, enabling existing Sepura users to be immediately comfortable with the STP9000 series. Grid and list modes will appear familiar to users who are used to the user interfaces on smartphones or other GSM devices. In both cases, organisations will minimise training costs for existing staff and new recruits. User safety The super-sensitive GPS in the STP9000 could enable users to be located or to report their position in many situations, such as dense urban or indoor locations, where it might not previously have been possible. Operational efficiency Sepura understands that the fundamental use of a radio is for users to hold what are often mission-critical conversations. The STP9000 offers innovative hardware design, which blocks out background noise and uses enhanced audio equalisation technology to improve the fullduplex aidio experience, thus ensuring that these can still take place, even in noisy environments such as airports, ports or motorways.

3 Advanced resource management The automated audit tracking of pool issued radios to officers, use of high security lockers to link a locker to a specific radio or automated pairing of a vehicle with users of personal-issue or a pool-issue radio are all now possible thanks to the built-in RFID tag in the STP9000 series. In this way, the STP9000 series helps organisations to manage and track their radio resources more efficiently. Legibility Clarity of text and images on-screen is critical for users, particularly those in missioncritical situations. The Twist and Zoom feature uses smartphone technology to allow a portrait image to be zoomed to full-screen size, allowing the user to see full detail of an image, such as a missing person, as they rotate the radio. The new auto-capitalisation feature will also make text entry easier for all users. Ease of use with heavy gloves Many radio users wear heavy gloves, for operational, health and safety or climate reasons. Following detailed user feedback, Sepura has added haptic technology to the STP9000 series. Haptics produce a physical movement of the radio, felt through the hand, which confirms to gloved users that the key press has been successful. Operational certainty The new Wake On Alarm feature, which enables users to switch a radio on and make an emergency call simply by pressing the emergency button, truly gives STP9000 users operational certainty. Reduced cost of ownership Users around the world are frequently faced with the issue of the cost of purchasing new accessories for new radio fleets. However, the STP9000 series addresses this issue, as all accessories for the Sepura STP8000 series of hand-portables are compatible with STP9000 series radios. GPS The highly sensitive GPS utilises predictive ephemeris technology to enable enhanced start-up and location services in both indoor locations and urban canyons.
